  2. I had to check how many I had after reading this. I was surprised to see I missed it when I got to post 1000 (this will be 1156) Wow! I had no idea Thank you for sharing your 100th post in such a positive way. I agree with all your thank yous. This is the one site I go to daily which is why Twins Daily is such an appropriate name for the site.
  3. If this improves the Adopt A Prospect process and participation, then I am all for it. I am not sure what has happened to cause this forum to nose dive the last couple of years but I am encouraged that there is at least more participation than last year.
  4. "That is big boy territory out there" lol
  5. See Ball Hit Ball
  6. So far he has only played one game at 2nd, 4 at 3rd and two at DH. His only error on the season is at 3rd...
  7. I honestly was not talking about anyone here. I was listening to the radio on the way home from work and you woulda thought we had lost 5-10 in a row not two games in a three game series. 5-0 Vikings is like 50-0 in baseball statistically speaking but as was stated on KFAN on Monday, 5-1 in baseball represented 3-4 percent of the season. Some people in my RW are VERY reactionary... That's all. Probably shouldn't have vented carelessly on TD but for the most part, the TD world gets baseball and how it really works.
  8. 5-1 Check out these new age Twins! 5-3 Same old same old for the Twins! Here we go again... All these over reactions are annoying me. Am I alone?

  10. Never Mind... He still has to be allowed to return to Baseball after May Graduations Correct?
  11. He looks like he is working pretty quickly from the video posted. Is this his normal pace? If so I like it.
  12. Adalberto Mejía was born June 20th, 1993 in Bonao, Monsenor Nouel Province of the Dominican Republic. He signed as an International Free agent with the San Francisco Giants February 1st, 2011. My Math says he was 17 years old when he signed. Mejia spent 2011 in the DSL but jumped all the way to Low A for 2012. He had a 2.13 ERA in the DSL with 71 K's to 8 BB's in 76 innings. He tossed 106 innings in Low A with 79 K's and 21 Walks. The 122 hits allowed is the most he has allowed at any level and resulted in a 4.81 ERA. That was still good enough for a promotion. 2013 was spent almost entirely at High A but he played well enough to make a one game appearance for Fresno in AAA going 5 innings and giving up just 2 runs before being sent off to the AFL for a few more games. He threw 87 innings with 89 K's and 29 walks for a 3.52 ERA in High A. Those strike outs must be what got the attention of the brass. Up to this point he was moving up fairly aggressively but he did not fair well in the AFL. He had an 8.47 ERA in 17 forgettable innings. He followed that up with a less than stellar 2014. In AA he posted a 5.17 ERA in 108 innings. His K rate dropped to 6.8/9 innings earning him a repeat in level for 2015. In 2015, He was suspended for the first 50 days of the season for using a banned substance, Sibutrimine. He was therefore, only able to pitch in 51 innings in '15 but he made the best of it with a 2.45 ERA. He was still only striking out 6.7/9 but he dropped his hits/9 from 9.9 to 6.7. With so few innings, he as sent back to the AFL where he again faired better than last time. He pitched 31 innings striking out 26 and a 3.48 ERA. 2016 started with Mejia back in AA for a third season where he started 11 games, throwing 65 innings and striking out 58 for a 2.22 ERA before his promotion back to AAA. It had been 3 years since his first time in AAA. In 40.2 innings, he struck out 43 batters but allowed 42 hits leading to a 4.20 ERA in his first 7 games. On July 28, 2016, Mejía was traded to the Minnesota Twins for Eduardo Nunez. The Twins assigned him to the Rochester Red Wings of the Class AAA where he pitched 26.1 innings striking out 25 compared to just 3 walks. He allowed 28 hits and had a 3.76 ERA for the Red Wings. The Twins promoted Mejía to the major leagues on August 20, 2016. He pitched 2.1 innings allowing 5 hits and a walk without getting his first MLB K. This year he earned his way onto the team in Spring Training and made his first MLB start this past week. He only pitched in 1.2 innings and allowed 3 runs, 2 earned before getting the hook. He had only allowed two hits and two walks but apparently Molitor saw enough for the day.
  13. I saw TJ White on the list. His Lookouts page says he is on the DL as well.
  14. Oh, wow, that's cool!! Cody Stashak took himself! I didn't know you could do that...
  15. Justin Haley was Born June 16, 1991, Orangevale, CA. (Some places say Sacramento?) he attended High School at Bella Vista, CA. He's a big guy at 6' 5", 230lbs. He was drafted in Round 6 in 2012 by Boston out of Fresno State. 2012: Haley began his professional life in short A starting 12 of 13 games. He struck out 33 in 33.1 innings while walking 16 and posting a 1.89 ERA. 2013: Haley spent the season in Low A. He appeared in 26 games, starting 24 and posting a 3.68 ERA. He struck out 124 in 124 innings while walking 74. 2014: Haley pitched 19 games for High A and 6 games for AA in the Boston system posting a 2.35 ERA. He started 17 of those 25 games. His strike out rate dropped as he threw 130 innings but struck out only 107. He improved his ERA by walking only 39. 2015: Haley spent the whole year in AA. He started all 27 games he appeared in striking out 95 in 124 innings while walking 50 finishing the year with a 5.15 ERA. 2016: Haley returned to AA for 12 more games, all starts. He struck out 59 in 61.1 innings and got his promotion to AAA. He threw 85.1 more innings striking out 67 more hitters in 15 more appearance, 14 starts. He gave up 45 walks on the year. This past off season, the Red Sox left Haley exposed to the rule V draft and the Angels took him. They promptly traded him to San Diego who then flipped him to the Twins. He made it threw the cuts and the Twins have stashed him in the back of the bullpen. On April 5th, Haley made his MLB debut pitching one scoreless inning without a K or BB.
  16. sweet! That takes two more top prospects off the board!
  17. Great article, thanks for sharing!!
  18. Pretty sure he will be a corner outfielder when he makes it considering who we already have here. That said, I am hoping some more power develops as he continues to move up.
  19. Well, that REALLY sucks. I hope he lives a long healthy life and is able to get past this disappointment quickly. God Speed Dalton!
  20. Safety: he doesn't pan out as a pitcher so you slide him over to short stop.
  21. Pitches every fifth day, plays short the other four, doesn't need a DH, hey, Can he Manage too?
  22. Using info from several sources, These are the Top Remaining prospects: Gordon Jay Chargios Ynoa Garver Rortverdt Jorge Rosario Wells Melotakis Hildenberger Reed There are MANY others to adopt, but these were listed as top 30 on one sight or another...
