  1. I think if /when the Twins fall out of it Span will definitely be dangled for sure. Rumors are he was last yr so no reason he would'nt be this yr as well.
  2. He is?????? the same SloJam that was 0-8 or whatever last yr??? or the the Slowey who's wrist will likely never be the same thus never being close to the same pitcher he was before the surgery which was a 3rd or 4th starter at best anyway..that Kevin Slowey??
  3. Nice to see the bats wake up in a big way......... Capps got a bad break with the ball hitting 2b and the missed DP call at 1B. Giving up a hit to Trumbo and especially Puljos not exactly something to be ashamed of.
  4. It was the right move....Burnett will be the first to go barring injuries, and I doubt he even pitches when he's here, at least not in any close games.
  5. I would be ecstatic with those numbers!!!
  6. Burnett made it because they are only carrying 4 starters for now and because Waldrop is hurt, otherwise he would hav been sent down. They are familiar with him and needed an extra arm and probably because he was better then anyone else for that spot...anyway doubt he sees much time in close games. As for Parmalee, he made the squad as a direct result of Justin's situation, not to say he did'nt play well last Sept and this March but if they had more confidence in Morneau at 1B then Parm starts in Rochester...let's hope it works out.
  7. Waldrop would be next in line..it's not a big deal to me.
  8. I'll blow out my elbow for 400K.
  9. Terrible! Hope all is OK.
  10. Would make sense...I just feel bad for him and us fans...he was such a stud fron '06' to '09'
  11. I think Fanatic Jack is to Twins Daily as DH was/is to Rube chat.......YAY!
  12. Agree it's the right move from a baseball perspective.
  13. Agree ...I think this is what will happen although i'd like to see him stick but only as an everyday guy.
  14. I agree there is enough internal options...no need to go outside the org IMO. The best bet is probably Burroughs. I would go Dozier at SS, Carroll at 2B and lexi as the utility...no he does'n't play 3b but you have Hughes for that although neither him or Valencia is a great defender. Either way it's probably best to get Dozier some AB's in AAA and get him up here by June.
  15. Dozier at SS and Carroll at 2B with Lexi backing up seems like the likeliest of scenarios IF they choose to go that route.
  16. Reduce the number of reg season games to 150 and start the season in mid April. I know this does'nt answer your question but the season is just way too long, even at 150 it's too long but.....
  17. I could live with this.. at least to start. They could always go back to their original plan. But as always you have to remember this is still ONLY spring. It's alot different when the real games start, we have seen plenty of good springs turn into not so good summers. I will say that I think Lexi plays better when he's playing everday although in theory he's perfectly suited for a backup utilty role because he can play 2B/SS and has ZERO power. All in all I think the Twins could roll the dice here and start Dozier at SS and Carroll at 2B which is probably a better spot for him anyway. Either way we should see Dozier barring "injury" come May/June.
  18. Why not....this is a good deal...if he stays healthy and continues to improve it's a steal!
