    I assume this is one of those modern "art" things. I've been trying and I gotta say, I got nothin'. I was trying to work Pegasus into a line, and it wasn't working.

    Meanwhile, back at the game...never mind, nothing happened. My daughters got me a Father's Day present of tickets for the whole family to go see the Twins play the Sux at the Cell next weekend. I hope at least half the team shows up with some energy. I'm not saying they aren't trying, but I've sure seen them try harder. All I can say is the dog family will do their best to represent.

    As the Twins record got worse and worse, the Fox Sports North team tried to create more interest in watching the telecasts.

    Well, Gibson seems to have solved his AAA problem of being inconsistent. He's been depressingly consistent up here. I hope he gets things turned around.

    I agree, I wasn't too optimistic about Dozier before and early in the season but he's doing the job. His fielding has been really good, and the hitting has had pretty good moments. Upgrading Dozier is a lower priority than upgrading most of the other positions on the team, as far as I'm concerned.

    I read this really quickly, was thinking about the diagram above, and read "bathroom", "sniff", and "pick", except I thought I saw another consonant in "pick". I thought man, this thread is really disintegrating.

    Boy, the only way to run on Mauer this year is to hope no one's covering second. That worked last inning, not this inning.

    And we ran with our older brother's shoes, stuffing newspapers in them to make them fit. And we liked it that way!

    Carlos Beltran, Rafael Furcal, Randy Choate are current free-agent signings. They also traded for Matt Holiday and Jake Westbrook and then re-signed them as free agents. I believe Kyle Lohse was a free agent. They are good at drafting and developing, but they've also done a good job of signing free agents, whether their own or someone else's.

    No, the snark was very clear, but it was hyperbole-intense snark. Too tempting a target. Plus it was cool to learn about Tuvalu so I wondered what else people had in the bag. I forgot that any post is at risk of being immediately challenged in most threads as either mindlessly attacking management or mindlessly agreeing with management. Sorry for sidetracking all the snark. My bad. big dog will go lay down by his dish now and think about what he's done

    A few more hits would make this 8th inning very fun. Hermann!!! ...good at-bat until he swung at ball four up and in. Dang. Nice swinging bunt by Hicks- he was out on a really good bunt a couple innings ago, now he's safe on an unintentional bunt. Things even out sometimes.
