  1. I need a shower after that sequence.
  2. I mean, he doesn't look much like the Killer, but otherwise . . . ok.
  3. That AB is why HR are in fact crucially important.
  4. I'm wondering what "the standard" is for Correa? Why isn't "the standard" "produce enough WAR such that you overperform your contract"? Which he is definitely on pace to do. And yes, I know WAR is a flawed stat. (All stats are flawed.) But if anything, doesn't that undersell Correa given his leadership and intangibles?
  5. Yeah, if Rocco had taken Varland out, folks would likely be complaining about that. Can't win 'em all.
  6. The home runs are wonderful, but the 10-pitch walks, wearing out the pitcher, are also really impressive. Lewis is the real deal.
  7. The Twins have won series against teams with winning records this year. In fact they've won two four game series against such teams, going 3-1 against the Mariners and the Royals. The Twins have played the third hardest strength of schedule in MLB thus far this year. (The Guardians have played the easiest strength of schedule in the AL, BTW.) The notion that that the Twins have played an easy schedule, or that they only beat bad teams, is a myth.
