  1. Yup pretty sure that was his MO in Texas too and why they held on to him as long as possible. Good guy. And DFA this late in the year when not needed wouldnt be a good way to treat a guy who battled all year for the team.
  2. No doubt it was the right thing to do. Was just funny cause he was literally a pinch runner on Tuesday ha. But there was no reason to DFA and Ive told people this for a while. Theres nowhere for him to go, no team will take him this late and he cant play in post season if they did. SO keep a good clubhouse guy who helped the team a lot in April when most of the offense sucked. And now we also have him for back up(hopefully not needed) in case some other injuries happen. This late in the year there just isnt a reason to DFA unless a player oddly prefers it.
  3. Gallo to the IL with a left foot contusion lol. That sounds like code for "yo, we will keep you rostered to enjoy the run with the guys but youre going to IL with something made up" AK back!
  4. Ok so commenting when you didnt see thanks.
  5. So for the record, you are saying the calls to Kepler and Wallner were good calls?
  6. No blatant balls being called strikes ruins the game. Thatll show up on the ump scorecard tomorrow.
  7. Umpiring is ruining the game. Its that simple.
  8. They have got to start suspending umps for calls like these or just go to robo umps Its flat out job negligence.
  9. Just about now according to online And supposedly Joe is coming back out which is kinda surprising.
  10. The part where he knows baseball stats and doesnt argue against a pitcher admitting he was lucky. Probably
  11. I mean I literally just said, luck because of the exit velo and stats like expected batting averages. The pitches they were throwing were lucky to end up right at gloves because of the way of the solid contact. The same way a hitter would be lucky if they kept weakly having their bat broken and it falls between 3 defenders or because a defender loses a ball in the sun. If Correa makes an extroadinary play on a line drive I absolutely will say that Pablo Lopez got lucky. Because he factually would have if the ball was hit like the ones we have been hitting
  12. Huh? Giving up hard contact that ends up turning into outs and a much lower expected batting average is literally the definition of luck in baseball And even if you try to shift the goal posts and say they are trying to throw meatballs cause they know their defenders are good Last nights balls were not about defense. They were just LUCKY to be right at guys. Even Correas ball that Kwan got he actually misplayed it to begin with and almost let it go over his head As for todays. Straw is still a good defender and his catch was insane. But his D is wayyyyyyyyyy down this year and to say that Williams wasnt lucky there is more insane than the catch. He had to full blow superman body slam to catch it. Brennan and Calhoun with great plays. Neither are good defenders and also rarely even play the positions they were playing. Another was a liner at Williams. So yeah, Id say lucky. Bibee and Francona said as much themselves last night. Not sure what Williams thoughs are.
  13. Guardians young pitchers are the luckiest pitchers on the planet.
  14. IMO yesterday was the killshot But the body is still wiggling. Time to put it out of its misery
  15. ONly downside is They would become the best of 5 option and now we have to go on the road with their staff fully rested. But yeah, they were always the WC I wanted to avoid to at least try and win that. Would be most Ideal if they end up the 5. But I just dont see how Texas or Seattle beats them out.
  16. That offense is still going to play in October. Itll turn into a battle of bullpens. Toronto just has so many holes. And they may also get dumb and not even try to throw the lefty against us.
  17. Ok time to bump this up. Long way to go still for teams. But Astros starting to get West control again which is good for us. Although most ideal would be them getting second WC. So we avoid them for two rounds. But so long as they dont get the 6 thats biggest key. Mariners slowing up a bit. Rangers pitching is a disaster. Blue Jays now have the 6 spot over Rangers currently. Careful what you wish for but that Toronto team is still who I want. Astros have a very easy schedule coming up so they should get West control. Rangers and Mariners play each other a bunch. So solid chance Blue Jays slip in over one of them.
  18. Dude look at our remaining schedule I think me and you could start the rest of the games and wed hold the lead.
  19. Lets go!! Guardians basically handed us this one but I will take it! Division is ours. Lets goooooooooo Finally gonna hit 7 games over .500 too
  20. Willi!!! Please bury them here. BURY THEM.
  21. TBH I dont think the Luplow move is even defensible. That was bad. And just found out Hentges actually pitched 3 days in a row. So they clearly only have righties left to use. Burned Wallner in the 6th with no one on base when Wallner has immense power. Incredible.
  22. MOves I loved and didnt love. Loved Rocco letting Sonny stay in there in the jam. You dont want to bring in relievers with traffic and you have to trust your vets. Great. Farmer pinch hitting. 1 guy on in a tie game, Farmer handles righties well enough for later and is a D upgrade. Great move. Unfortunately Jorge failed for the rare time. IMO an awful move is using Luplow with no one on in the 6th. He did it Sunday too I believe when stevenson was already playing. Youre down 1 and basically playing for a 6th inning Luplow homer. You know that spot comes up again and they will throw righties. Heck Clevland only has 1 other lefty and he pitched yesterday. Let Wallner bat. He hits them in AAA and has run into a few up here. Trust the better bat. No one on and the 6th inning is insane for Jordan Luplow. Francona knew what Rocco was gonna do and brought in his lefty early to get some of our bats out. Its so predictable. Like I said, the Farmer move was smart though. We tied it and had a guy on and hes versatile and good defensively.
  23. Thats a brutal no run inning Until proven wrong gonna say we are cursed at peaking at 6 games over .500. Replay. Liners. Dont matter. Cursed.
  24. Ump with a horrid strike 1 call Then Kep chases.
