    Yeah, that's unclear to me, too, which is why I was curious about price.

    My guess is that Julien and Clemens are in a ST battle for the primary DH / backup 1B job, and the 2026 starting 1B is not on the roster. Larnach seems like a nontender. Starting OF is Wallner, Buxton, Roden/Martin platoon with Outman as the backup CF. Remaining bench spots are backup C and backup SS.

    The CBA requires revenue sharing recipients to spend more than 150% of their revenue sharing money on MLB payroll, so something this low seems unlikely.

    Surprised Brandon Hyde, Derek Shelton, and Craig Albernaz didn't make this list.

    While I'm personally sad to see Varland go, I can see the logic to all the trades. There's no need for a top end bullpen next year on what's likely going to be a 70ish win team.

    Don't understand why he wasn't sent down when they brought up Funderburk. Instead they gave away Blewett, who they were once performing roster gymnastics to keep.
