  1. I fully expected at least an hour delay with all the rain that impacted the Twin Cities today.
  2. Another sign of good news. NBA finally approved the sale of the Wolves and Lynx. Only took 4 years to do it. Let's hope that it doesn't take the Twins that long to get sold.
  3. Plouffe is actually 4-7 as a broadcaster this year. He started during the away Seattle series (1-1), West Sacremento (3-1), and haven't won since.
  4. In this instance bringing in your closer in the 9th inning of a tied game when you're the home team is exactly what you would do as a closer. Just didn't work out as Duran didn't execute. Every other team has their closer out in that exact situation.
  5. Similar with Trevor May. I like listening to May on his takes as part of Jomboy Media.
  6. Feels like it's now or never to score and try to keep Raleigh from batting again this game.
  7. Bold of you to assume we will get a runner on this inning.
  8. I don't think Raleigh was up the line far enough to beat the throw at the plate. With that being said, this team should be desperate and taking chances to score. Much like Larnach's hustle double, Wallner probably should have been sent.
  9. Runner on 2nd and nobody out. Now may be the time to dust off that old baseball strategy book on how to get a runner home from 2nd.
  10. 80 pitches for Paddack. I don't understand why Rocco seems to be terrified of bringing in a pitcher in the middle of the inning. Is he getting a pace of play bonus if his games are in the top 10% of shortest timed games all year?
  11. Another thing to consider as well is that players like Bader, Castro (when not hurt), Clemens, and others may see where the team is trending. If they perform well, maybe they will be traded to a winning team come deadline time.
  12. And all of this started from a hustle double from Larnach. Amazing what a little hustle does to an opposing defense.
  13. Absolutely! And when you're refused, file under the ADA and at least you can get some money out of the Pohlads as well!
  14. As bad as the pitching is now, I'll take it over Kyle Gibson's 4 starts this year: 0-4, 12 1/3 IP, 16.78 ERA. But for you advanced metrics people, he has had some bad luck as his FIP is only 10.53 this year.
  15. Today was only 5 runs in the third. Improvement over yesterday's 6 runs in the third. But don't you worry! We will get to see at least another year of this now that Rocco has been extended and Falvey's excuse will be "Just wait until we are healthy!"
  16. Whoa whoa whoa! You mean you can bunt for base hits?!? What sorcery! I thought this was a gentleman's game!
  17. Had to go back and watch that on the replay again. That ball was having supper and relations with the partner by the time Wallner swung the bat.
  18. Whew! We just dodged a bullet. Whit Merrifield just announced his retirement. I'm sure if Falvey would have known he was still out there if FA land, he would have signed him already.
  19. That is the saddest part of this announcement is it gives off the impression that the Pohlads may be pulling the team off the market.
  20. I know Lovelady is. He asked and was granted a release by the Saints and already has signed with the Mets.
  21. Apparently will be Your 2026 Minnesota Twins as well as it looks like there will be no substantial changes in upper management.
  22. In principle I agree with you. With Correa discussing this with the FO without the manager, I don't see where Correa is going to respect any of the potential coaches that would be the interim replacement for a fired Rocco.
  23. Look at the Seattle manager tonight. He took over for Scott Servais and went 21-13 the rest of 2024 and missed the playoffs by 1 game. Certainly better than how we finished 2024.
  24. I'm reasonably certain that I screamed that very thing when the Reds hired Tito. We could have had Tito!!! AJ Hinch with the Tigers would be another manager that would have been nice to consider when he was available.
  25. I agree, but I don't see them bringing anyone in from outside the organization in the middle of a season. That's more of an end of season change.
