  1. Shoot. Gave it a hell of a ride Buxton. Even sounded good off the bat.
  2. Lewis is just lucky that Bradley froze. Had Bradley not froze; he would have got the out at home.
  3. Rays got the Twins right where they want them. Bases loaded, nobody out. Watch the Twins not score. Waiting for that expected runs screen to come up.
  4. I guess if we see Jeffers with painted fingernails the next inning, we will know that they have given up on the pitch comms.
  5. I've been wondering the same thing. Larnach loves grounding into double plays, just like he did as I type this.
  6. I think Sands was probably hoping to get through at least 2 innings. The nearly 20 pitches in the first inning is concerning. As I type this, Coulombe is warming up.
  7. Obviously, I'm not at the ballpark. That shower seemed like something they could have played through. Maybe they didn't want to start the game in a rain shower? Maybe there's union rules with grounds crew that they have to pull the tarp out once during every home series?
  8. I typically agree, but I do think Adams is the perfect person to utilize the opener strategy. Adams has been piggy backing Raya for the Saints and has been the pitcher that typically comes in the middle of the game (5th-6th inning). He is used to warming up in the bullpen while the game is going on, unlike Festa or SWR.
  9. Excited to see Varland go multiple innings in critical relief. I am curious if the FO is serious about potentially shopping Duran or Jax as you would have expected both of them out there in this game, especially with as little work as they have had this past week. Don't take this as complaining about Rocco's bullpen usage. Just an observation.
  10. Without going too much farther into the weeds. At least it wouldn't be boring. 😉
  11. I hear that Minnesota will have a Governor and Senate election in 2026. And THAT is as far into politics as I'm going on this site.
  12. I thought I had looked this up on Monday. You are correct that they signed Bader that day. They also signed Danny Coulombe that day as well. I'm not sure which one took Henriquez's roster spot.
  13. It'll be interesting to see the Twins/Rockies in Denver after the ASB. I wonder how many shutout innings have ever been pitched at Coors Field. Will the Twins set a new record?
  14. Seems like I remember reading that these mutual options never seem to get exercised. Would like to see if he would resign a 2 year 8-9M per year contract. That gives us a quality fielder with the time needed for a Jenkins/Eeles/Rodriguez to see if they can establish themselves.
  15. I'm just excited that Lewis not only legged out the dribbler, but his hammies are still intact.
  16. How dare Wallner get a hit against a lefty! Rocco's Excel Spreadsheet is very angry! BTW, what name should we give Rocco's Excel Spreadsheet? Hal has already been taken.
  17. Interesting. SWR can only go 5 IP and 75 pitches and up 2-1. Festa gives up 4 runs but is allowed to go 6 innings and 87 pitches. I'm done calling out the manager/coaches. I just want it to make sense.
  18. Do you get extra credit for the bat going farther than the ball in an AB?
  19. I tend to agree that the Twins aren't as bad as we suggest in these threads. I also stand by the statement that I don't think Rocco is getting the most out of this team, regardless of how many players are injured.
  20. I would think the interim manager would be Jayce Tingler for the remainder of the season. I would love to see Toby Gardenhire maybe get a chance and bring his father as an advisor/bench coach, similar to what Derek Shelton did for Rocco in 2019.
  21. Good. Can we trade that talent for someone at the local county fair that has a watermelon spitting contest? I'm sure the winner of that contest would manage the Twins the same way that Rocco does.
  22. Reason #3158 that Rocco should be fired instead of signed for another year. I agree with the defenders that another manager likely isn't going to turn this team around this year, but I would still like someone with a little more energy than King Tut in his sarcophagus.
  23. I suggested earlier in this thread that the first team to wake up wins. I think we found the team that woke up.
  24. Willi Castro is working hard to get his trade value up. A walk and a stolen base already.
