    I couldn't see '87 as it was on ABC. I grew up in such a rural area that we could not pick up ABC on an antenna. I did get to see most of '91 as it was on CBS. The late games in Atlanta I couldn't see the end as I had to go to bed.

    It probably shouldn't have made it that far, but 98 would have to be the worst. You have the NFL's most accurate kicker in history at the time on your team and he shanks the FG.

    Doesn't help that they tried to knock him out of the game with the bounty stuff. I'm not sure if you should have taken away their Super Bowl victory, but they should have been punished harsher than they were.

    I'm not a Vikings fan so it doesn't affect me. I just like bringing it up whenever something like this happens because being a fan of any Minnesota sports team means that heartbreak is right around the corner, no matter how good it looks.

    I'd stay away from the Vikings talk. I think there are fans still out there who bemoan the shocker in the desert when the Vikings just had to beat the Cardinals to get into the playoffs and lost on a last-minute play.

    The rule makes sense. IMO, it makes sense for Wrigley and the ivy and when you can't find the ball. Otherwise, it should just be in play and you have to figure out how to dislodge it. Want to blame someone? Blame the people who built the place. They are pretty loose with enforcing this rule.

    And let's hope the defensive miscues stay with Danny Gladden in the booth and not leak out onto the field tonight.

    Kreidler makes a play I'm not sure that Gray could make just now getting Carrol out.

    Watching the Saints game. Wallner just hit a home run and is batting 2nd in the lineup. His hitting has been getting better lately. Having him hit higher in the lineup may be a sign that they are looking at seeing what he can do for the big league club in the near future.

    There has to be a beat writer somewhere to keep asking Buxton how he feels about being in all the trade rumors. That response Buxton gave was gold.

    I'm only waiting for this postgame interview with Shelton to see if anyone has the intestinal fortitude to ask him why he left Preilipp out in the 6th and Adams out to die.

    Make sure and get some Icy Hot too. Can't have too much burn in their jock shorts when they come home!

    Yep. Preilipp was charged with 3 runs, but it really should just be 2. Three runs on the defense. Four runs on Shelton.

    He was already hot and ready to come in the game. Idk what his work has been the last few days. It's possible he needed the work anyway.

    Close enough. I've been supportive of most of Shelton's moves this season. Tonight is not one of them. He single-handedly cost the Twins this game. Yes, the defense was bad, but we could have overcome that. We couldn't overcome Shelton's bad decisions to leave pitchers out there to die.

    Please put Laweryson in. I just want to see the grand slam so I don't have to stress about the Twins trying to make a rally.

    Gameday is wrong as well. They still have Gray in the game at SS.

    Thank you. Now I can say what I wanted to say when I heard it. What in the ACTUAL F was Gray allowed to hit in the 8th inning and kill the rally with his terrible plate appearances!!!

    The radio boys do not match Gameday. Is Gray out of the game? The radio boys claimed that Lee is now at SS with all of the defensive shuffling.

    Great job by Bell and Lewis! Sadly, that HR by Marte is looming very large right now.

    No. They were pretty accurate on stating that it was the defense that let down Preilipp. That's why I have not be very critical of him tonight. He pitched well enough to get out of the inning. His defense did not allow him to do so. I would still say that even with all of that, Preilipp should not have come out for the 6th inning.

    I am following the game on radio and Gameday so there may be details I do not have since I can't see it.
