Silver lining - Alcala's ERA continues to retreat. It's hovering at 6.5! -
The Twins' line-up didn't necessarily figure anything out during the winning streak. They got hot and stayed that way for a while. But going back to the second game of the DH against Cleveland, the bats have been scuffling and I just think that's who this group is. Starting pitching will have to be dominant and more efficient, i.e., pitch deeper into games, if the Twins are going to contend for the wildcard.

Royce is going through it right now. Mechanics are awful. Confidence is shot. Has an unending urge to be the hero. I'm not going to jump on the 'he sucks' bandwagon but I'm also unsure as to how he sees his way out of this slump because there's just so much going on with him. When Correa and Buxton were struggling, they needed a few tweaks to get right. With Royce, he needs a complete reset starting with how he swings the bat. Just not sure it is in the cards for him in 2025.

Can't remember a pitcher struggling so much with weather conditions as much as Pablo. Beginning of the year, its too cold. Then undoubtedly, there's a handful of games where he sweats through 5 jerseys before the 3rd inning.
