Stinker but oh well. Have to imagine Festa wasn't on top of his game after the call up and whirlwind day. Big series coming up against Toronto. -

Rocco's done a complete 180 this year when it comes to the getaway line ups. Kudos. -
Knock on wood a million times that Ober, Ryan and Paddack stay healthy - IF they do, then that's a top of the rotation that can get the Twins into the post-season. I love Festa's stuff and I think he will be fine. Problem with him and Matthews - they need to pitch deeper into games - admittedly, the same can be said for Ober and Ryan but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they will do just that - but the Twins can't afford to have two games a week where they need to use 4-5 relievers.

Sucks about Pablo. But if he's going to have a lat injury, better now than in later in the season like Ryan had in 2024. Ideally, he's back at some point in August and he's refreshed and ready to go. I do think the rotation is good enough to weather this storm but obviously, they can't afford another injury.

If Lopez, Ryan, Ober and Paddack stay healthy and yes, it is a big IF as it with every team, the Twins could do some damage. They would be foolish to even think about trading him.

Oh, and man, I wish the Pohlads weren't so disinterested because this pitching staff is good enough to get the Twins deep into the post season. The lineup just isn't good enough. Moves are there to be made at the deadline but unfortunately we've seen that movie before.
