  1. Question for TD - what's the consensus on Pierson Ohl? Seems like he got better as he got more innings last season - could he potentially turn into a mid-to-high leverage reliever in 2026?
  2. For the love of all that is holy, will they address the bullpen anytime soon?!
  3. I guess between Gray, Arcia, Brujan, Kreidler, if they all make it to spring training, they have covered themselves for the inevitable injuries to Lewis and Lee.
  4. Maybe I'm being too short-sighted or pessimistic, but I don't understand why you sign Caratini when you have Jeffers / Jackson and arguably the worst, or at least one of the worst, bullpens in baseball. If payroll constraints still exist, and I suspect they do, having that much $$$ tied up in the catching position is rather strange to me.
  5. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/01/twins-to-acquire-tristan-gray.html Why?
  6. The payroll limitations are what they are. But they are compounded by poor roster construction. When the bullpen is as bad as it is, you can't have that much money tied up in catcher. Teams in the division are athletic. The Twins double down on being slow and having shaky defense with Bell and Ragaman. I have no idea what this front office is doing. And neither do they.
  7. If the Twins trade Jeffers, I don't have any confidence that they will 'win' the trade - so hopefully, this is just a rumor and nothing more.
  8. I can't believe Sano's only 32.
  9. That really is one gigantic word salad!
  10. I'm highly skeptical about that part of it...
  11. There have been some crazy theories on the debt. One such theory I read on social media - the debt was the byproduct of the Carlos Correa contract, lol. The odds of that debt being attributable solely to baseball - slim to none, IYAM.
  12. Similar to the Carlos Santana signing in 2024 - won't overwhelm anyone but he's 'someone' and beats the alternative of putting Kody Clemens at 1B on a daily basis. Now add 2-3 arms to the bullpen and we might see a small sliver of optimism.
  13. I love Buxton's loyalty or at least his willingness to stay with the Twins. If I wasn't a Twins' fan, I'd say he's making a mistake. Someone like the Mets or Dodgers would love to have Buxton and he'd find himself playing for a legitimate WS contender. At this point in his career, he deserves that opportunity.
  14. This. The Twins did 'ok' at the deadline but considering the fire sale that they had, it would have been nice to land more talent than they did. I don't have confidence in this front office to trade Buxton, Lopez, and Ryan and a build a super farm system. In theory, sure. But, in practice, nothing indicates this front office can pull it off.
  15. I want no part of Volpe. But I could see Falvey doing something like that.
  16. Craziest thing with Gasper is that he made the team out of spring training last year and that was with the Twins supposedly thinking they would have a contending team.
  17. That worst case might turn into 'most realistic' - can't imagine Jeffers is long for Minnesota.
  18. I'm wondering if we don't see something like Lopez or Ryan for Anthony Volpe and a couple of lottery ticket prospects...
