Birds - 4 for 9 RISP
Twins - 2 for 9 RISP
Correa, Martin (LF defense), Lewis, Pablo, France all looked good today!
Stewart's first appearance, Topa left with an injury
He’s slimmed down a little and working with Cuddyer on defense. Plouffe has stated that he’d help him too. Captain obvious here but we need to have 4-5 times more games with Lewis, Correa, and Buck on the field together. Something they only accomplished 26 times in 2024.
What about Tomah, WI native Connor Prielipp (LHP)? Is he strictly a BP guy going forward? Seems like that would be the best way to keep him healthy and get him to the bigs. He only threw in 9 games LY but looked great.
3 of the top 10 #MNTwins projects are injured - Emma, Raya, and Jenkins. This song by the Pet Shop Boys is running through my head. I want to serenade the baseball gods imploring them - What have I done to deserve this?
Strikeouts are boring. Strikeouts looking are infuriating. When the ball is put in play, there’s a chance that something great could happen. 27 outs in a game and when 1/2 or more come via K the defense doesn’t have to do anything.
That said, good article and I agree that the outcome of a strike out and any other out is the same.
