  1. Excellent article! Really highlights how important Mauer was to St. Paul and Minnesota as a whole. On top of that, he was a heckin' of a ballplayer!
  2. His first season has been amazing! I really am high on the dude, think he'll be better than what evaluators were seeing back in predraft. 2024 is the year he'll debut then he'll probably play full time in 2025. I'm pretty sure he'd be playing either third or second but probably second full time as Polanco either leaves in FA or is traded.
  3. Take advantage of the weak central and go all in now
  4. To trade Gray doesnt make sense since we signed Correa, I'm pretty sure Twins would have to find a way to improve their lineup yes but trading Gray would be a mistake since I feel like Twins just need to keep their pitchers rolling and hope the hitters turn it around. It's not like we can't do anything: we can. To throw in the towel this early would be stupid and would tell Correa and Buxton that Twins aren't going to be competitive at all. Just go for a right handed bat in the likes of Goldy or someone like Lane Thomas, Jemier Canderliano, etc etc, then we'd be good to go from there.
  5. For sure which is why I think we should strike when the time is right. It's s the same for guys like Goldy
  6. Think if they had invested the money in Justin Turner instead, it would've been the better signing considering Buxton would have not let McCutchen DH often. Or do we put Byron Buxton at 1B???? hahahha I do think had we targeted both Turner and Cutch, we would be in a better spot along with Solano and Farmer, would've given us legit depth
  7. I'm thinking that Twins simply did a good job with the signing of Solano considering any other choice would've cost more and he's been decent so far this year. I was hoping twins would make a run at Turner though, he would've been super loved here and been the Cruz of this team. Oh well haha. Maybe we can find someone else in the offseason to fit that ideal?
  8. I feel really good about the pitching development machine so far, even if the results are slowly showing up at the MLB level, it shows that the Twins FO are taking logical steps to change over a pitching department that had been truly...crappy in the pre Falvine days. Am wondering if Twins would ever want to do a trade for an ace because they've shown that their strategy, i mean the process of how they got Gray, Lopez and even Mahle was sound.
  9. I don't that's the point of this article? Also Varland's best pitch is his fastball so it makes sense to discuss velocity. The writer also mentioned that his secondary pitches were pretty good but clearly not at the level that his fastball is. Maddux was one of a kind as well and we kinda have one in Sonny Gray who clearly isn't at Maddux's level but doesn't compete w elite velocity, the same as Joe Ryan who could hit 95 but that isn't his focus.
