Okay, more baseball…
-
I just want more baseball, so at least for tonight I want the Rays to pull it out.
-
Good point!

Well, breathe easy. -
Wow, I’d never believe this!
-
I did once see the Twins win at Yankee Stadium on the Fourth of July. It was so long ago that Johan was pitching for us, I believe, if someone is inclined to look it up.
-
Was at the game but saw very few Twins fans. It was rather exciting to Andrew Morris pitch well and learn that he is originally from NYC. Jeffers’ amazing grand slam came while New York fans were learning that the Knicks were losing their playoff game by one point. But then I knew we’d blow it with the bullpen…
-
Remorse; I should have been there—especially since it warmed up to 45 degrees…
-
My companion to the game is more than a decade older than ME! [You get that Chief] so I was happy to defer to his wish.
-
I know it sounds wimpy; 44 degrees. Oh, the BUCK!!
-
Listening to Mets radio here in NYC. Confession: I had [cheap] tickets to Citi Field, but it is too cold🥶! I’ll go to Thursday’s game instead.
-
Nah, wait and see what Kershaw does…
-
Polanco may have had his faults, but I never doubted that he was our best clutch hitter at the time. (Missed this game, BTW)
-
Thanks for your company. It’s late on the east coast.
-
Told you, just took a while.
-
Come on, Polanco, we know you are a clutch hitter…
-
Remember that game…an afternoon game, I think, and I was walking home from work here in NYC, stopping in electronics stores to watch on their TV’s.
-
Oh, yikes, with Kirby out, it’s a new game. I don’t have that big a rooting interest, but it’s good baseball.
-
This game is free to watch on FOX, and it seems really worth it!
-
This is so dreadful!!
-
Yankee radio announcer says, “Varland must be shaking now.” Suzyn Waldman replies, “Well, of course, he’s been pitching in Minnesota”. (But I did see him make his debut in Yankee Stadium last year)
-
Not kidding; I just turned the game on the radio now, thinking, “oh great, let’s see what Varland can do.”
-
Look, Gardner was just a good-natured placeholder allowing the players who were called up too early to mature. I have good memories of him for that subjective reason. So I’d rank Miller, Baldelli, and Quilici below him.
-
Thanks. I was feeling gaslighted.
