    Hughes? Seriously? This one just slapped me in the face and kicked me in the Jack Groin. Out of the question. The rest are ok, but we need to deal Correia for anything. Suzuki could be an option to bring back next season. No one wants to block Pinto, but let's realize that Zuke has been valuable in his own right.

    If you add in Meyer and May with Morales I think the needle tips just over the "more likely than not to make the playoffs" line. It might still only be at 51%, but how cool is that?

    I can't agree, a manager has to with matchups he likes. If he went the other way he'd be criticized for leaving pitchers in for too long.

    Average is very overrated. The slugging is not so worrisome because he's a speed guy. No question he needs to be better, but i judge his ability to contribute at this level mostly by his OBP.

    Hicks has an OBP over .300, and like .375 over his last 10 games.

    Gotta love the beast AKA Suzuki at DH and batting cleanup. Didn't think i could ever write that and only be 40 percent kidding.

    So far this team has screamed .500 They pitch enough and hit enough to win 81, which is a great step forward.

    I wish him well but if he turns it around it won't be because Pitt has a better pitching coach, It will be because Worley takes responsibility and does some intense mental and physical self analysis on why he can't translate his BP session success to live game situations. My least favorite broad fan trend is the tendency to blame the coaches when the player fails, yet give all the praise to the player when he succeeds. These two though processes are not congruent.

    Which game did you watch? The runner was clearly trying to screen the fielder when he got hit. That means the ump should have awarded the Twins a double play. I would have argued too, they got the call wrong.
