    I guess the formula for Twins' management is to not allow young MLB players to accrue service time during a work stoppage. That or they've been so focused on pitching they haven't really thought about how to get more offense from AAA. Either way, it's a glaringly poor show: three catchers, Tristan Gray, a lot of lefty outfielders with potential, and of course, Buxton on the IL. The window is closing.

    Not sure why this article claims it to be a "fake rally". Last I checked, Keaschall tied the game in the 9th after they were down 6-0. I turned the game off in the 7th, so to me, I missed a great rally, with three home-runs. Baseball is hard, but writing about coming back from 6-0 shouldn't be.

    Yeah, Kremer becomes Paredes. That way they keep the bullpen intact. It's a maintenance move not a game changer.

    I tr;y not to get too excited when walking off the worst team in the American League to take two out of three at home, after nearly being shut-out two games in a row. But "ra-ra". They sure aren't there yet, wherever they are going. But belief is a powerful thing, and the Twins' players believe in something. We will see what management believes in over the next four days. I, for one, am going to put on a helmet.

    C'mon boys, the idea that the Twins should sacrifice their future as a winning baseball club on the altar of a surprise .500 season is just crazy. Crazy! Keep building for the future by giving up on wasting assets and acquiring ones on the way up. That's the way this goes: trade the old, bring in the new. And BTW, the clubs that are moving to adopt the younger players, Washington, Chicago WS, Boston, they are making the biggest moves! Trade Jeffers and whoever else anybody wants and then bring up the young talent and let them compete.

    Let's remember: Jeffers is gone regardless, his contract expires. What would you pay for two months of Jeffers? A good AA prospect, maybe two prospects in the low minors? That's it. Maybe they can move Larnach? Does anyone even want Bell? Ryan ain't going anywhere with his dead arm; plus the Twins need him next year. Don't expect the sun and moon and stars. The Twins are building young and from within and they are holding some good cards -- thank God.

    Maybe the same record, but think of the payroll reduction that has gone into this team. And how much younger they got, and could go younger yet. Just getting rid of Correa was the key move, and they don't miss him. At all. Twins have something in Morris; he's got that strapping walk and determination needed to get outs. A keeper for sure. No relation of course, but gotta like the name pedigree. A Morris was on the mound the last time the Twins were world champions.

    So the difference between good and great comes down to having better control of your pitches? Um, brilliant. Take this up to the front office immediately.

    Did Ryan really give up two home runs to a rookie named "Petey", with an OPS under .500? I'm not even sure that's possible if Petey put a golf ball on a tee at home plate and took five swings at it. Lordy, what's next?

    Bell did say he thought he needed to "tag up" potentially. Hey, team is down four runs in the 9th inning. If Armstrong makes a diving catch in the gap, who cares about tagging up? Just get back to 2nd in that case. For the Cubs, the ball is rolling loose in the outfield, any thought of getting two outs at that point would have been non-sensical. Glad I missed that whole episode.

    The Draft and the Twins' play this year is validating the epic bullpen sell-off from '25, which has received a huge amount of criticism on this board. The Twins' tank from middle of the pack all the way to 3rd pick in the draft, get a fanatastic long-term catcher, add a bunch of arms, watch as a couple of SS move up toward MLB, and are already a top offense due to young players learning how to hit. They still have Jenkins hanging out in AA, Mendez looking solid -- there aren't a lot of positions of need in the lineup. And it's not clear how good Keaschall, Lee, Clemens, Roden, et al, are going to be. Meanwhile, the pitching looks decent going forward. Still filling out the Bullpen but with Prielipp, Lopez, Matthews, Festa, Bradley, Ryan, Abel, I mean, they will have options. And they are getting younger, especially once they deal Jeffers, Bell and Larnach. It was hell getting here, but, they are moving in the right direction.

    Used to be that baseball was a sport where size didn't matter. Little guys could make it, big guys could too. Never forget Killebrew was 5' 10". I remember going to Target Field for the first time and seeing Dustin Pedroia standing at first base next to Morneau, two MVPs, two great players, two very different frames. Well, not so much anymore. Twins have ten picks, not one under 6' 2", nor less than 210 lbs. Times have changed.

    Small matter, but Carson has the best overall name from Day 1 of the draft: Tinney. Kind of like it, nice play on "tin", which has some baseball connotations for the sound off the bat (in college), but also, ironically "tiny", which for a guy of his size would be a perfect nick-name.

    Maybe the Twins see a RH Schwarber in this guy, kind of like Sabato is now. Oops.

    Who knows? I've seen the Twins getting "stuck" with Lackey, then with Emerson, now potentially with Cholowsky. May the Gods of Baseball bless the Twins with the best player available at number 3. It's leftovers with a side of All-Star potential.

    It definitely has potential. It's like being at a game with some friends and shooting the **** and commenting on the action as needed, which is how baseball is experienced by people at the park. That said, one of the commenters has to kind of keep up with the action and events on the field and guide the audience somewhat on what is happening. When Adams walks the lead off hitter in the 7th on four pitches, someone has to say: "No, you can't do that and be a successful major league reliever." And then they pick up that thread and discuss it. Was it nerves? Did he just not command that slider to start the inning? We will still want insight, especially at key junctures in a game or a player's moment in the sun. In other words, amidst all the banter, there needs to be some solid analysis of specific situations on the field, on the season, on the opponent, on the players -- give us insights and not just a clubby tour through the lives of the former players on the set. So, potentially a very nice time listening to them talk, but also, without a leader or a direction, could be just banter that doesn't add value or expertise to what is happening on the field.

    Some team will claim Jackson at Catcher. But, it was sure worth having him in AAA. With Caratini and Jeffers the Twins will be even better behind the plate.

    He's got a hole in his swing, fastball up and inside. The Twins know it, the league knows it -- there's simply not much that can be done. And, where can you play him in the field? Luckily there's a half dozen more LH outfielders in the Twins system ready to give MLB a shot. Hitting is hard; the best get a hit every third time up. Not wanting to cap on Matt but selling insurance is a lot easier.

    Given the Twins are 2nd in runs scored, and I haven't heard anyone mention him yet, but what about the Twins'hitting coach? I mean, I don't even remember his name, but he came from Detroit and they hit well under him too. He's getting good results from somewhat marginal talent.

    Last year's crash out of contention and stripping of assets is looking better and better as time goes on. Like virtually any team in MLB, going young is proving to be a great way to build back a competitive team. Twins will get another crack at it in the '26 Draft and it sure looks like they will get a winner, though how many right side infielders we can funnel to the majors is an open question.

    Twins need a shortstop who can field well and hit well. Seems like they have two of them in their system, one at AAA and one at A. I know it's complicated, but shouldn't they advance the two in their system and let the chips fall where they may? Isn't that why the minor leagues exist in the first place, to bring forward prospects to MLB?

    Are Tait and Jimenez both catchers and both at Cedar Rapids? Didn't Diaw just move up? What's the plan here at catcher? Going to need a someone next year with Jeffers on the move to a new team.
