  1. The 6th and 8th innings are an example of what I'm talking about, Twins led 2-1 and Arraez walked then came around to score to make it 3-1. Twins add another to make it 4-1. The Royals scored in the bottom of the 7th to make it 4-2, in the 8th Arraez again walked, moved to second on a single, to third on a fielders choice then scored on a wild pitch to make it 5-2 and the game was over then, top of the 9th comes and Twins score 4 more to blow it open. It was a thing of beauty.
  2. Buxton may be the best player on the Twins, but by the end of the season Arraez may be the most valuable. The game Saturday night Arraez completely took over, getting on base via hits and walks, driving in runs and scoring runs. He was a wrecking ball. It seemed like every time the Royals had momentum Arraez would come up the next half inning and do something to swing it back to the Twins. When he scored on that wild pitch in the 8th to make it 5-2 the Royals and their fans knew the game was over.
  3. And the Twins lead is 4 games as I said yesterday.
  4. If they lose yes, but don't count the chickens before they're hatched. I'm hoping the Yankees take care of business ?
  5. Gaining as much ground in the division in the next 2 weeks will be huge for when their schedule gets more difficult. They need every one of these wins right now. I'm actually been rooting for the Yankees to beat Chicago ? and that goes against every fiber of my being.
  6. 4.5 games at the moment, Chicago won and if they win again tonight it will be 4.
  7. You are 100% correct. They won despite Rocco, not because of him. Rocco had conceded that game by leaving Cano in to get shelled but the offense bailed him out.
  8. Arraez knew what a strike was way more than the home plate ump today.
  9. At least they got 2 borderline calls in the 9th, on Merrifield on that low call for strike 3 and the check swing third strike on Dozier.
  10. Hindsight is 20/20 but that was still a head scratcher. Cano shouldn't have been left in.
  11. That Yankee trade is paying dividends more and more.
  12. If the Twins fall short this loss is completely on Rocco, not taking Cano out in the 6th before getting absolutely lit up. Especially when the game was 2-0 then. But agreed he should have showed a backbone and gotten tossed to stand up for his guy.
  13. Bring on the electronic strike zone!
  14. No joke, for a second I thought that was exactly what it was gonna be. the Old 5-4-3 around the horn triple play.
  15. Dick Bremer called it a make-up call from the "swing" before ?
  16. I think teams usually shift against Kepler, that was probably the flukiest I've seen in awhile.
  17. Agreed but these are all things that should be considered. Last nights game actually went by pretty fast, it was the speediest game I've been to this season. Players did a good job of keeping the pace up.
  18. But both are issues that impact fan viewership nonetheless. I don't see MLB doing anything about blackouts though, so on the field changes will continue to be their route.
  19. Agreed about Sano, no surprise the team is playing so well in his absence. Also agree about Jorge Lopez, he would be a great back end reliever. Arraez has made some pretty sweet picks at first base on semi-errant throws from the left side of the infield but people don't seem to realize that.
  20. You would be surprised how many Twins fan live in the KC area, me included. The section I sat in last night behind the visitors dugout was full of Twins fans.
  21. My wife is a childhood friend of Jorge Lopez and we've followed his career for several years, I would be thrilled to see him in a Twins jersey.
