  1. I usually like when people try to be silly, this Brian Doizer thing didn't work for me.
  2. Heavier rain is 5 minutes out!!!
  3. Throw at the first batter, tell them it slipped, this is garbage
  4. Maybe they will get lucky but i predict another hour rain delay before they get through the 2nd inning, have May start, play the game backwards.
  5. This is stupid, I want to see a game as much as anyone but you don't play in the rain when you have an open day tomorrow.
  6. Umm I guess they plan on playing in 20 minutes.
  7. Another look at the radar and there's more behind it. I'd say it's not happening today but if it veers north and it moves out a little quicker maybe.
  8. Looks like the high is in the 40s tomorrow so they might still play tonight. I'd say you don't need to pay any attention until about 5.
  9. Still no break for the next 2 hours. Either tell us the game starts at 7 or noon tomorrow, it's not that complicated.
  10. I know they don't plan for this but video packages during an opening day delay? I'd rather hear about Bert's birthday.
  11. I guess this explains why there were closer to 10,000 fans then a sellout during introductions.
  12. Would they wait 3 hours? This doesn't look good.
  13. I think I overrate every member of both 87 and 91 to the point I can't be rational. At least I wasn't considering Gene Larkin and Al Newman. As soon as I realized I was trying to get Dan Gladden on my team I just stopped.
  14. I really like this team, when guys like Mauer and Buxton can be your 7th and 8th best offensive players without failing to approach expectations it's gonna be fun watching this team every time they step upto the plate. They need better front end starting pitching and catcher is iffy and you always want at least one more good arm in the bullpen but this tam should win a lot of games. Just stay healthy.
  15. I'm about to try to figure this out so I can give this to my dad. While I might check in on a game every once in a while this feels like it's going to be shared like netflix passwords. I don't think this is a workable business model at current revenues unless there's a catch. At a certain point why wouldn't I just pay half my brothers cable bill for the summer and otherwise go exclusively Netflix Amazon Hulu? Anyone play around with this and know anything I don't know? Anyone have big plans to use this often. I just can't think of many scenario's where it makes much sense. Maybe camping or cabins but I'm not counting on getting enough of a signal to watch anything.
  16. That's a huge difference between the 1.1:1 at predictit. Cruz odds are basically the same with Ryan being about 8:1 at predictit. The explanation might be that betters overseas don't understand the brokered convention rules like we do, they might think yeah but he will still get the nomination even if they know he might fall short on delegates. Another thing to keep in mind if you listened to Rush Limbaugh you would never have any clue that Trump isn't well positioned to win over delegates so if you're from England you conclude that even Rush isn't on board so that idea must be crazy. Also keep in mind if those casinos aren't offering opposing bets with 3:1 odds for or at least 5:2 then the odds are nothing more then a novelty bet for suckers.
  17. Predictor is a real betting site. Technically I don't think you can legally bet on this in Vegas so those odds are just for show and don't move based on the behavior of betters.
  18. Today predictit pushed trump below 50 for the first time since he started to gain momentum last fall. Currently sitting at 46 so technically at least on one betting site he is favored to not get the nomination.
  19. Still if you don't participate at the most basic level you don't have a true say in the process. Typically the primary results settle things and the appearance of having a say is good enough, but if you do not get involved in choosing delegates you don't have a true voice. The only reason I don't hate this idea completely is because I still will be involved, but it will be a shame when others who would otherwise be involved don't either learn in school or from the media there are options outside of a primary vote that will make a true difference.
  20. Mauer always rebounded when he was approaching the line between tolerable and bad last year. It won't be about Park it will be about Arcia, and despite the fact basic stats might start to suggest Arcia is a better hitter he has a long ways to go. This could be the year Mauer at times slips to the point of getting benched twice a week but he could also easily hit .285 with 15+ HR's and a bunch of doubles, and you just don't take that out of the lineup.
  21. I see the primary/Caucus season as the parties nomination process, many see it as round one of selecting a president. Caucuses make a ton of sense to get the best results for the parties, primaries make the most sense if you see it as round one. As for open primaries I don't understand why the parties award any delegates for something that can be heavily altered by the opposing party. As for the EC versus popular vote of course it has come into play more then once in about 60 elections but for the most part it makes no difference. I can live with the popular vote, but it would create such an east coast bias I don't think even Democrats would be happy with the results, we could probably smooth out the #'s to make it to a more per capita basis but i do think it's important to try to make candidates win across the country rather then allow them to win big regionally and coast in the rest of the country.
  22. Slightly more then zero, but I'll agree without proof that's just a blind accusation. Trump does have connections with the Enquirer and while they do like to get things right they are more then happy to just sale magazines with flashy headlines.
  23. Luckily for Cruz this is happening on a Friday before a holiday. If nobody else piles on by the time Trump gives his next punch a black man event he's gonna look pretty stupid bringing this up. I wonder if Trump is even aware of Easter.
  24. Agreed. The point is it appears that's not about to happen if the story is just another Trump lie.
  25. If it's true he's done. That's simple. Problem is there is no evidence to suggest it actually is true at this point. They have got stories right in the past, but those stories appeared to be solid from the start. It's not as if people on the inside didn't know Trump was pushing this story. It's hard to turn down a Trump bribe even the Clintons couldn't. Like I say if the story has legs the rest of the media will get on board. Pretty disgusting to see how far Trump will go but I guess because Cruz might have people who disagree with his politics people will want to think it's true.
