    Twins season by tens: 6-4 7-3 6-4 6-4 9-1 6-4 7-3 5-5 5-5 4-6 7-3 4-6 7-3 2-0 Or, if counting by NFL units, they are 9-2-2. Great record, the only problem is there is another really good team in the same division.

    Taylor Rogers is the punter. Cruz is probably on the defensive line along with Sano and Pineda. Berrios is strong and agile. He’s my starting RB. I think Polanco is either a DB or Safety. I like Buxton and Kepler both split out wide as wide receivers.

    There are two reasons I hated the Giolito-Eaton trade: the Twins have to face Giolito a lot, and the Nats don’t get to have him in the rotation. Eaton has helped make up (a bit) for the Harper departure, but that is one I am sure Russo would like back.

    I still want to see him start. He’s had a mediocre year. All is not lost. In some ways I’m glad he’s out of options next year, as they will be forced to give him a chance to make it in the bigsz

    I think he’s getting the call, and it will either be Tuesday, Aug 27 in Chicago or Friday, August 30 against Detroit. He didn’t pitch Sunday, and only has two appearances for Rochester, so I imagine they would like to see him get 1-2 more chances before the call-up. Price is a bit of an odd comp for him, but I get the premise. I think we should temper expectations for him a bit.

    The fine folks in Cedar Rapids must be thrilled to see Buxton play there for a couple of games. And I’m sure the players are excited too, and are looking forward to a nice meal paid for by Byron!

    He has been pretty consistent in giving up late leads recently.

    Will be anywhere from 1.5 to 3.5 games ahead by the time they play again. Cleveland gets to play Stroman and Syndergaard in the meantime. Seems like a familiar story to win one game in a blowout and lose the series.

    Get ahead in the count, I’m pretty sure. The announcers were also touting how he had thrown first pitch strikes for a majority of the batters of the game.

    Duran, Smeltzer and Vallimont all seem to have improved upon their minor league career track records after their arrival in the Twins organization, wouldn’t it be fair to say?

    Love these updates. They are on pace to hit 315 or 316. They are averaging 1.95 HR/game. With 39 games to play, it seems obvious they will set the all-time record. It also seems plausible that they hit 300 this year. The biggest question, though, is whether they finish the season with the most home runs. The Yankees hit four yesterday, and have 226 for the year. They are 14 behind the Twins. Will the Twins be able to hold them off?

    Not only that, but Duffey got his second win of the day yesterday, too. He had to work a lot harder this time around, facing twice as many batter yesterday for the win.

    There is dialogue in Chinese with subtitles, but I think the majority was in English. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I was able to understand.

    There are all sorts of problems with this theory, I can’t even begin to enumerate them all.

    It’s charming and funny. The main character is the same actress who played the very quirky cousin in Crazy Rich Asians. Takes a very different role here, in a good way.

    The fact that he is (legitimately) in the conversation for this is kind of the point, and, in and of itself, quite remarkable. All that, and no one can really pronounce his name, either!
