  2. You really think some team would stash Diaz all year?
  3. Would Cole be too much to ask for? If so that Tyler Watson might be a good get if paired with one other prospect. Watson seems to be a few years out though. With A.J. Cole you get a kid that should get an audition with the Twins this year and add him to the Top 8-10 SP options for next year.
  4. Anyone else think Jamie Foxx looks a little like Byron Buxton?
  5. I think you forgot about Tyler Duffey and Taylor Rogers as pitchers that belong in the Majors...
  6. Good stuff! Welcome to Twins Territory, Brent! I'll be rooting for you from deep in SEC country! Best of luck and I hope to see you on the Twins' 25 Man roster soon!
  7. For some reason I gravitated towards the name Tristan Beck RHP out of Stanford. Injured this year with a back issue and did't pitch. However, I read a couple of scouting reports; one in particular mentioned he has a plus FB at 90-94 (and may tick up as he fills out, still a young kid) and a DOUBLE PLUS curve. He was supossedly a First Round talent...perhaps he's worth a flyer, but, will need to be paid a bit over slot in order to lure him away from all those beautiful Stanford chicks and the Pacific Coast??
  8. So this Nik Turley guy...is he for real?! 6IP, 15K!!!!! What?!
  9. Darvish on the contingency of a 5+ year deal would be the way to go me thinks. Prospect wise, I'm thinking 2 of our Top 10's (Gonsalves for starters and maybe even Gordon too) along with Dozier and Polanco/Rosario will probably start the conversation. I'd like to think that Sano, Buck, Kep, Berrios are the untouchables at the MLB Level. Then again, maybe that's too much for a 1/3 of a season rental...ugh...the Twins need pitching.
  10. Its certainlty time to begin getting some young internal arms up to MLB. Only need a couple to do well to improve the bullpen and shore up that part of the team. As long as Santana, Santiago, Berrios, and Hughes keep doing what they've been doing, the Twins will remain in contention all year long. Get these kids up!!
  11. I wonder if he read this article in the bottom of the 9th and was like, "What the what!?"...good time for his first ever walk off HR.
  12. It looks like the Twins Offense is about to heat up...while the pitching is coming back to reality a bit. Perhaps some changes in the rotation and in the bullpen can right those ships..if that happens, the Twins will begin to separate a little bit.
  13. ....so no one liked the Eastbound and Down reference? La Flama Blanca?....no? Ok...

    Flip Big Erv

Don't we really need pitching right now? I doubt the Mets part with 2 pitchers in their Top 10 (Starting asking price for Erv?) Their top prospect is a SS (not a position of need anymore). Unless they threw in on of their MLB C's and one of their Top 10 Pitching prospects...how does it make sense for the Twins?
  15. .450 BABIP cannot be sustainable. Can it?! I stop what I am doing to watch Sano's AB. That guy has the ability to hit one out EVERY. SINGLE. AT. BAT. Exciting stuff!!
  16. Over his last 3 starts, Romero has for 18.1 innings with 18K, 2 ER, 17 H, and 3 Walks....he seems to be settling in. If he keeps that up, he's in AAA after the All-star break. Perhaps earns a September cup of coffee. A Santana, Berrios, Romero rotation looks decent...perhaps call it La Flama Blanca?! (Latin flame throwers from the wintery north...get it?)
  17. Kepler sat in the first game against the Rangers...you can cross #4 off the list.
  18. Yeah...easily the best in Twins history. Obviously, time will tell.
  19. Nothing officially...but I would guess it has something to do with consistently throwing strikes. 62% strike rate is not good.
  20. Draft him as a SS and see what happens in 3 years...if he can't cut it (hit and/or glove) move him to the bump for the next few years and develop him as a pitcher...he would still be onky 23 after 6 years of development (3 at SS, 3 at P).
