  1. I don't understand all the negativity on Arcia. It takes time for hitters to adjust to major leagues, and patience is especially important with a guy who has as much talent as Arcia does. He hit .310/.371/.535 in his minor league career, and we've already seen glimpses of that ability while up with the Twins. He just turned 24.
  2. Fan voting has got to be changed. Today's update has Alex Rios 4th among OFers. He is batting .255 with 1 HR and 8 RBI.
  3. Eduardo Escobar does not need to be in the lineup everyday, especially when they stick him out in LF, where his fielding is terrible.
  4. He threw out the names of Aaron Harang and Marlon Byrd as types of players the Twins may want to target, which basically makes no sense to me because he never mentioned the return of Oswaldo Arcia or getting Ervin Santana, who are probably better than either one of them.
  5. Definitely Perk deserves it, and maybe Dozier and Plouffe too. The problem is that 2B and 3B are probably the most loaded positions. Also, does everyone agree that fan voting is a terrible way to determine the starters. The fact that Omar Infante is second among 2B despite terrible numbers and Mike Moustakas is almost 400,000 ahead of Josh Donaldson is ridiculous. Hopefully that gets corrected. And wow, shortstop is really weak in the AL. I didn't realize it was quite that bad.
  6. Max has kept up his recent hot streak by hitting his first homerun of the season last night. Through his first 91 PA in Chattanooga, Max's triple slash line is .326/.363/.500 (.863), with 8 doubles, 2 triples, 1 homerun, and 8 RBI. He is also 5/6 on stolen base attempts, and his SO/BB is 5/9.
  7. Through 54 ABs with Double-A Chattanooga, Max has a solid .278/.316/.407 (.723) line, with 3 doubles, 2 triples, and 3 stolen bases.
  8. Looks like it's the "A" lineup for the Twins tonight. Yikes.
  9. That was just a general thought that I had from multiple write-ups, such as mlbpipeline, on him saying he currently plays CF, and could play CF in pro ball due to above average speed and a strong arm, but a high likelihood that he would eventually move to a corner.
  10. I'm glad to see that Jeremy believes the Twins are taking a good look at Kyle Tucker. Tucker's potential to be a guy who will hit for both average and power from a corner outfield spot is intriguing, plus add in the fact that he has the athleticism to possibly stick in CF as well.
  11. Max hasn't done much offensively in recent games. Since his promotion to Double A he's hitting .185/.214/.296 in 7 games with a double, a triple, and a stolen base.
  12. I know it doesn't matter much, but why is Escobar batting 6th and Arcia 7th? Does that make sense to anyone?
  13. I've also been interested in that. It's probably a good idea for Harrison, Walker, and Kepler to get experience in both corner OF spots. And Kepler has even played CF the past two games with Byron Buxton getting a couple starts off.
  14. Kepler picked up his first Double-A hit last night, a double. He played LF and batted seventh and went 1 for 3 with a run scored on the game.
  15. Right now I'm leaning towards Kyle Tucker. That swing really is a thing of beauty.
  16. I'll definitely be following Booser's season. Anybody that can throw upper 90's from the left side is very intriguing, especially if he's developing a decent slider to go along with it.
  17. Max has been called up to Double-A Chattanooga. After spending all of 2014 with the Miracle, he only played in 6 games in Fort Meyers this year, where he hit .250/.308/.333 in his 26 plate appearances.
  18. Max had his first multi-hit game of the year tonight. He went 2 for 4 with a walk and his second double and is now batting .263.
  19. When you get the chance to sit the guy who just hit a walk off homerun the previous night in favor of Eduardo Nunez, you gotta do it.
  20. Max picked up his first hit of the season tonight after dealing with a left forearm strain that only allowed him to play in one of the first six Miracle games. He finished 1 for 4 and also added a stolen base.
  21. I completely disagree. I think Arcia is one of the players who shows the most emotion and joy for the game of anyone on the roster. This is also a guy who hit 20 homers in only 103 games last year, so patience is the key.
  22. I thought Trevor May pitched really well. Without some of those defensive misplays and a bunch of soft hits falling through, I'm guessing he would have had a nice line today. But that's just how it goes sometimes.
  23. I don't really think that this play was as egregious as you're making it sound. It was a routine grounder to second, and the only reason anyone noticed he didn't hustle was because Micah Johnson made a bad play in the field. BTW Johnson appeared to make quite a few fielding mistakes throughout the series.
  24. I agree that he needs to modify his approach some, and that's on him and on the coaching staff too. I just want to see him challenged against tough lefties and playing every day, because he's probably not going to get better by sitting on the bench.
  25. Arcia is a streak hitter at this point. They should just keep playing him, because when he gets hot, he is extremely dangerous. And even when he's in a cold spell, he can still run into a few. And what's the point of not playing a guy with a ton of potential when you're rebuilding?
