  1. "not sure" about Sano or Buxton? That would be a consideration for you?
  2. So a 3.82 career FIP is considered good now? That's what a top 20 prospect is worth?
  3. So every other team's top pitching prospects can come up and dominate, but Berrios can't? He might not put up quite those numbers, but he doesn't have the benefit of pitching in the NL either.
  4. Either way you look at it, a 3.66 ERA and 7.3 K/9 in the NL is mediocre at best. Good luck to whoever signs him for $100 million.
  5. I'd be very wary of giving Zimmerman $100M or more. Big decline last year and of course the switching leagues factor.
  6. I think there is a good chance that Berrios is better than Miller right now.
  7. That's way too much to give up for another average pitcher. The Twins have plenty of those.
  8. 3.82 fip and 7.6 career SO/9 In the NL. He's way closer to a three than an ace. No way is he worth giving up a guy in the Twins top 10 prospects.
  9. Towns could play the 4, but he is basically the prototype for the modern 5, with his athleticism and floor spacing. I'd rather have him at the 5 and then add another floor spacing 4 (hopefully Bjelica) to play alongside him.
  10. The Wolves are probably going to be picking more in the 10-12 range (unless they get extremely lucky in the lottery) than at 1.. Ben Simmons is a 3/4 and Towns is a 5 by the way.
  11. Not to knock Vargas or anything, but he'd probably be wise to cash in now and make as much money as possible, because he doesn't look like he'll be much more than a fringe bench/AAAA guy in the States. Still, I am surprised that this is an option though because I don't recall a lot of 25 year olds on 40 man rosters considering this.
  12. Sounds like an experienced/old version of Cameron Booser.
  13. What is happening!?!
  14. I don't think he meant a trade this year...
  15. Do people really think they'll beat Iowa? Just for reference, Minnesota got shut out by Northwestern, and Iowa beat Northwestern by 30...
  16. Don't you think it's a good time to deal Simmons right now though? The Braves seem to have a good replacement for him and plus they get a top 25 type prospect. It sounds like Julio Teheran may be next.
  17. Is Plouffe's value really just a relief pitcher with a little bit of upside?
  18. I'll admit that they have looked better since Kill retired. And if they do beat Iowa, I highly doubt it would be by a lot. Iowa is a lot better than they get credit for, especially by casual fans.
  19. How about Colby Rasmus becoming the first player to ever accept a qualifying offer. History!
  20. I'm sure he'll be really good, I just like Buxton's overall skills more.
  21. Considering Buxton and Seager basically have the same minor league numbers, combined with Buxton's elite speed and defense, I for sure would take him over Seager. Imagine where Buxton would be right now if he hadn't had all of these fluke injuries.
  22. There's a reason why it was only a stint.
  23. I think I can run faster than Trevor Plouffe. Plus, he's already solid in the spot he's at.
  24. That's true. It's a little weird when Twins fans think national prospect guys are overrating their own team's prospects though.
  25. He was also coming off of a lost season, and he played much better in the final month of the season. Calling him overrated is a bit ridiculous at this point. Mike Trout didn't play so great in his first stint either. A slightly better Hicks rookie year would be equal to him performing exactly the same as what he did this year, which is highly unlikely.
