  1. Yeah I would think the challenge and spotlight of the majors would make it hard for someone to not care. I certainly saw a great effort last year.
  2. Why doesn't KLAW just answer the questions instead of insulting the people who ask the questions? I like reading his stuff, but the negativity is sometimes annoying.
  3. Yeah the Big 10 is terrible. They've only got 5 teams ranked in the top 15.
  4. Sure, Stanford seems like a better team now, but they lost to the same team that Iowa beat 40 to 10. I think everyone will see how good Iowa really is on Saturday.
  5. I think it would probably be better to give the athletic 23 year old a shot out there instead of an ageing Mauer.
  6. I disagree on the importance of adding another starter, especially on a mediocre one that would be received for Plouffe. I think Plouffe would probably only net a reliever with some upside.
  7. Are you talking about the same Stanford that put up 6 against Northwestern and lucked out on wins against WSU and Notre Dame? MSU and Iowa do the same things that Stanford does, they just do it in a better conference.
  8. Yeah it's just totally unfair that Park gets paid $3 million a year to play baseball. You do know he's got a family to feed, Terry.
  9. Yeah that makes sense. I assumed it would just be easier to write back in Spanish too, but I wanted to know what others meant when they said it was odd that he did so.
  10. I love the talent and never thought he would fall so far last year. I think he could be a good backup infielder who can give the team energy when he gets in the game. Hopefully the pressure is off now and he can go back and simply play to the level that his talent allows.
  11. Looks like we've got a controversy on our hands. What is the truth behind Randy Rosario choosing to write his answers in Spanish? Or was it even Rosario writing the answers at all!?! And how does LA Sports Management figure into this!?! Let's get some answers!
  12. I'm looking forward to seeing what Randy Rosario can do next season. I really like the Liriano comp that he had. Let's hope he can get to that level eventually.
  13. I want the young guys to play, but Revere is one of my favorites so I would definitely welcome him back.
  14. Let's see how they do against teams that play defense and aren't playing with backups. Notre Dame was terrible in the red zone and they still had the opportunity to hand the game to Stanford, on the road. They were still pretty impressive, even with all of their injuries.
  15. Well there goes all of the drama and potential controversy. Oklahoma beat another backup quarterback (That's three weeks in a row now if you're counting.)
  16. Pitt has lost three games. To three top 15 teams. They're a good team. That Texas loss is hard to get over for me, and the eye test favors Notre Dame too in my opinion.
  17. Tennessee isn't anything special, and I doubt Notre Dame would have any trouble playing backup quarterbacks from TCU and Baylor either.
  18. Pitt, Navy, and Temple are all good teams. You can make the same argument against Oklahoma too.
  19. Nebraska is a way "better loss" than Texas. For reference, Texas lost to Iowa State 24 to 0. Baylor and TCU were playing with backup quarterbacks.
  20. Oklahoma beat Baylor with a backup freshman quarterback and TCU with a backup quarterback, and they lost to the same team that ND beat 38 to 3... That schedule ranking is misleading.
  21. It's possible, but I think Oklahoma will be held accountable for their one ugly loss. ND should be safe if they win.
  22. Ohio State has about a 1% chance of getting in now. They'd need MSU to lose to Penn State (doubtful), ND to lose, Clemson to lose twice, Alabama to lose, Oklahoma to lose (Oklahoma State might jump over them then anyway), and Baylor to lose. Plus, they're going to have their hands full with Michigan, and then they'd have to beat a very good Iowa team.
  23. I'd take a one loss ND over a one loss Oklahoma. Much tougher schedule for ND and Oklahoma lost to a garbage Texas team.
  24. The price that many are throwing out is egregious though. Miller is a talented #3 starter, but he's not worth a top 50 type of prospect.
  25. Shane Robinson signed a minor league deal with the Indians!
