  1. No, trading Morneau isn't the right decision. You have to add the if..........part like you did for Perkins. Even then, I'm not for trading Justin.
  2. Ain't it the truth!
  3. It's good to see some success in the minors, as up here in the bigs we haven't got much to hold on to. Sure seems to be alot of unearned runs all across the minors though. That's got to take a toll on the pitchers.
  4. Turned off the radio in the 7th with Doumit at bat to climb onto the golf cart. Darn! I've waited over a week for a good ending.
  5. So how are you going to replace those 4 bats with anything better? Names please.
  6. what's that, 32 k's in 2 games. LOL, we're cooked, extra well done.
  7. Not sure I'm ready to tune this one in, seems like I just turned it off with a tough loss.
  8. 3-8 so far and not looking good.
  9. So if I'm an administrator I can change people's posts? I love administrators! They're keen.
  10. The best option is to trade him for a good prospect, but that offer may not come. So the real trade option might be trade him and acquire two marginal prospects. Ahh, NO! The best option is to extend him.
  11. Thanks. And I'm not either.
  12. ftfy and fify, what do they mean?
  13. Who's impressed, who hasn't. The hasn't is the easiest. Willingham's done squat, and Parmalee hasn't done anything to impress me either. Doumit is either hot or cold, so not good. Hicks a big disappointment. Diamond, Worley and Duensing have been disappointments to me also. I've never cared much for Roenicke. And for some reason I've not had confidence in Burton last year or this. I'm softening my stance with Plouffe a little bit. He might make it. Dozier is learning and showing some signs that he may be a late bloomer. At least it looks like he's improving little by little. Florimon is just so so. Carroll has purposely been shut down way to much for him to have an impact, not his fault. I'm satisfied with the play of the M & M boys, though Joe's k's are a bit concerning. Most impressive for me is Fien. Liked him last season and this year he's done an outstanding job. And I do like Deduno, fun to watch him pitch. I still think Pelfrey will be the best 2nd half pitcher for us. Thielbar is rather exciting since he came up, and Arcia is a treat and will only get better. Perkins has been for the most part solid.
  14. Fien should of started the 8th. But Gardy is to stone headed to try something different. Burton's been just bad lately and shouldn't have pitched. So that's 2 straight we've given up. I almost turned it off when Burton came in, but waited to see his pickoff throw go down the line and then hit the button.
  15. 6-12 but still easy money.
  16. For those younger fans that never had the chance to go to Met Stadium, here's how it was. You'd park in that huge lot, with tall post with teams names, as I recall, so you could find your car when you left. There was no players parking lot. I think there was an area closer to up front reserved for them. So and friend and I go the the All Star game in 1965 and park and head for the stadium. Suddenly we notice who's walking along side of us, Zoilo! What a treat, and he was playing in the game. We talked and walked til he headed for the clubhouse and us to the stands. I've always regretted not having a pen and having him sign my ticket. But what a thrill for a couple young fellows.
  17. ROY would be sweet for Arcia. I picked him to come north out of spring training, and then he got hurt. But he's come back strong since then. I'm in the group that won't miss his at bats. He still hasn't really squared one up yet. You watch, he'll hit one 500 feet yet. He most likely will lead the team in homers this year and most all his outs are loud. There aren't many hitters that make an out and I can say that was a good at bat. I hope he keeps it up and gets the ROY.
  18. I'm just tickled Colabello is having such a fun year. One he'll never forget.
  19. I really think Buxton won't miss a beat in Ft Myers, and could get another promotion yet this season.
  20. It's nice Gibson is getting the call. I won't add "finally" though. I hope he does ok, and don't expect alot, like some of these posters who think he's the solid gold answer. I'd just like the Twins to hang in there this year. So far, so good.
  21. Willingham is doing zip for us. Might as well dh Parmalee. And Arcia will lead this team in homers this year with between 20 and 25.
