    Last night I didn't have a good feeling about the game and it turned out the way I expected ... Tonight I had a better feeling about the game and this is not what I expected playing the worst team in baseball this year , h*ll maybe in history , have to wait until season is over .... Playing the twins , Colorado might start believing in themselves and go on a winning streak .... This just almost makes me as upset as Peter is going to be ...

    I once ask Tony Oliva who Polanco looked like , he shrugged his shoulders and I said pepe , he looks at me and then with a smile he said , your right , I never thought about that till now ... everyone loved pepe , he and career were a 1 , 2 punch at the top of the lineup , stealing bases ... The two stole 5 bases in one inning and tovar and carew each stole home in the same inning in the same game , it was a joy to watch those two , and Tony O , killer , kaat , a young blyleven with his tongue out pitching ...

    I think those fans are coming back to see if the Rockies can win two in arow .... Jeffers not letting that ball go foul is beyond me , that's where Vazquez smarts come in to play ... Zebby has a pattern , gets two outs and then runs into trouble , defense didn't help him out , but that the way the ball bounces ...

    Zebby got through the first with less than 20 pitches , wasnt pretty with that wild pitch moving the runners up , but he got the job done ... We need zebby to shine tonight ...

    It's always the twins that seem to break the bad records , pitchers give up the most inherited runners a few years ago , twins set the record for most strike out by the lineup a couple of years ago , twins could be the only team to have consecutive winning streak seasons and not make the playoffs .... Boy do we need zebby to shine tonight ....

    We stink on the grass and dirt too ... I agree paddack to the pen , if FO trades a few arm like coloumbe or Stewart , paddack can fill a spot , not saying he's going to succeed but he did pitch effectively in 2023 at the end of the season and playoffs coming back from injury ...

    There lucky they are just about a 500 club , if it wasn't for a 13 game winning streak we wouldn't even be this close , we would all like to play baseball the way they did in the winning streak , not going to happen , mediocre at best ... Two years in a row with a 12 game or more winning streak and we are not bound for the playoffs ... Sorry folks , it's just the reality of this team ...

    Regards to interest on twins games ... Before the allstar break , there was very few member posting on the game thread for the Pittsburgh series .... Tonight after the allstar break I was very surprised that almost 400 post were made in game thread , granted not all of them were of the game ... They sucked us back in only to spit us back out , was hoping for better results in Colorado but it just goes to show that any team on any given day can beat you , never let your guard down ... 3 games out of 500 , not going to be over 500 going into dodgertown ...

    3 fricken consecutive strikeouts with runners on base , allstar rest hasn't helped anyone ... A lefthander handles us easily for 6 innings ... This is pathetic , pitiful , piss poor , putrid professional pussy baseball ....

    And Paddacks trend is still on the down slope .... What happened , not enough stamina in the arm , maybe he just might be a good bullpen arm or spot starter going forward in his career ...

    Should , these are the teams we SHOULD beat , how many times have we not beat teams like this ... Twins go against a lefthander , they haven't done well against lefthanders this year ... Did white Sox play Colorado this year yet , if so how did they do ( last years worst team againstthis years worst ) ,

    Who knows what the FO will do ... They've stood pat for way to long and all that has gotten us is inconsistency from the lineup ... Yes they should trade some expiring contracts And maybe have some money to add back , tweaking could help , it can't hurt ... Lineup has been inconsistent since late last July , don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining ...

    Who really knows what the FO will do , so it's a surprise if they do and it's a surprise if they don't ... I'm really tired of hearing that our FO follows the Tampa and Cleveland blue print ... I like leaders , not followers , to be a leader you have to be creative and initiate your own procedures to out smart your opponent to be winners ... Our FO lacks the skills to be a leader , got to know when to hold them and know when to fold them and they haven't shown me any of that in their tenure ...

    You praise him up and then rip him down , might not hit consistently but the power is real , power is 30 homers or more a season ... If he is blocked at first base and the cubs believed he could hit well , they would find some spot in the lineup like DHing ... No thanks , sounds like an over pay to me and remember we already have a line up full on non-consistent hitters ... And also we are sellers and we are not the ones that should be over paying ...
