  1. We can sacrifice Blackburn to the Gods for another ten year run like the Twins did in 2001.
  2. Radke and Milton get no love for 2002?
  3. I don't care if he pitches worse then Blackburn the rest of the season, atleast the Twins can find out what they have in the guy.
  4. Morneau I can hear you on for trade value, but "attendance purpose" for Willingham and Mauer...come on. Sitting Willingham and Mauer is best for them as they've played a ton this season and best for the team as it gives the team a chance to look at some kids. Hell I'd sit Willingham now just so he has no chance to injury himself and kill his value.
  5. Don't do it!!!!!
  6. Nothing stupid about that!!
  7. Well Mauer, Willingham, Morneau and Doumit can sit on the bench a bit more late in the season. All 3 are gonna be around for a few more years so no shame is resting them more in September. That gives ample playing time to Parm, Hicks and Arcia.
  8. Which I could maybe listen too if the Twins didn't have an extensive history burning active roster spots when guys are "day to day" Plus I don't think a quick 15 days on the DL is gonna hurt Span's value in the offseason. Hell every team can see that he missed a good chunk of games in Aug so what's it gonna hurt just sending him to the DL for a quick 15.
  9. I doubt Span's contract would pass through waivers.
  10. Ugh...this has been one crappy Death Pool year for me.
  11. The beat writers and reporters for the Twins are a bunch of pathetic suck-up yes men. Too concerned about having a good working relationship with the team then actually questioning the way they do business.
  12. Misses his 7th straight game Monday and won't play Tuesday since he's getting another MRI. Just amazes me how the team just continues to burn active roster spots.
  13. I'll see you in hell Nick Blackburn!!!
  14. How in the hell can you argue that two guys who have throw a combined 105 innings are more valuable then starters who are gonna throw 200+ innings? Frazier WAR-2.1 Harper WAR-2.0 Way ahead?
  15. Hell even if he needs TJ, he's still got a huge ceiling and well worth the gamble for the Nats. That cause throwing a baseball repeatedly isn't a healthy motion for the human body.
  16. He does say that "although the sample here is just three plate appearances" I've read enough of this man that he'd be cold dead in the ground before he based an opinion off 1 game. He's simply reporting what he saw that day, NTM the reports from other scouts and publications that say the same thing about his defense and I don't think he's making some wild opinion off one game.
  17. http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/blog/_/name/law_keith/id/8284755/minnesota-twins-prospect-miguel-sano-elite-power-potential-mlb I'll post the article if one of the admins says it's ok.
  18. What the hell does it matter at this point, the front office can say one thing and do another. We kept hearing about all these changes JR was gonna make, no scholarships, earn your playing time, looking into the medical staff, accountability within the organization. We've seen nothing but the complete opposite all season long. The Twins can do or say anything they want about Blackburn, the bottom line is sans DFA him he'll be in the rotation next season getting destroyed once again.
  19. Couldn't have just finished it off and taken a shot at your lord and savior Gardy?
  20. Sweet damn the sports writing in this town is crap. Between this gem and the "Mauer needs to swing" article, Twin Cities sports reporting is at another all-time low.
  21. You're missing one key thing...THIS ISN'T THE NBA!!
  22. I love the guy, hell I'd rather see him walk the world onbase and get his K's then watch him pound the zone and give up hits galore like everyone else in this rotation. WIll it last...probably not. But I have no beef with the walks as long as he's getting his K's and limiting hits.
  23. Best: Yankee Stadium No BS naming rights...the Yankees play there and it's a stadium.
  24. MVP: McCutchen Cy Young: Cueto ROY: Harper Comeback: Posey (Can't really think of anyone else) MOY: Hurdle
  25. MVP: Trout CY Young: Verlander ROY: Trout Comeback: Eric Chavez MOY: Maddon
