    No one said it had to be via trade. Also if they would've kept polanco instead of trading him for spare parts we could have traded Julien instead. Of course I know the twins would never go in on an ace in FA.

    Why is everyone convinced this team will be better offensively? They still don't have a left fielder. While Correa is a likely bounce back candidate, Kepler and Jeffers are strong regression candidates. Buxton will do what he does whenever he's healthy enough to play. Santana is a different, but not necessarily better, player than polanco. Wallner and/or Julien better not fall victim to a Miranda like sophomore slump.

    Castro still should not be the primary center fielder for the 100+ games we'll need someone out there.

    I like how one of his player comps on baseball ref is Danny coulombe, who we previously released. Now we trade an actual player for him (not that I'm a Gordon fan at all). That said, okert should be a nice addition to the bullpen. I certainly feel better about him as LHP 2 instead of funderburk.

    Buxton can't stay healthy when all he does is DH. he doesn't hit enough to be a full time DH. He's just one of countless "what could have beens".

    I don't care about giving up on balazovic but I'd prefer it to be for someone that isn't going to be on the constant shuttle to and from AAA.

    Taylor is the logical choice. Twins know what they're getting with him. Taylor knows he's going to get AB. Even in Buxton's healthiest year he missed plenty of time. I'm also certain Kepler, Wallner, or Gordon will also cycle through the DL. I want absolutely no part of ever having to run celestino, cave, or mark Contreras types out there ever again. I could do without Gordon on the roster at all.

    Right, but they added the extra round so they lost in the ALDS like they always do. I get what you're saying though in terms of winning a series.

    Last good season in 2019. Makes sense. I googled Carlos Santana twins and a twinsdaily article suggested he'd be a perfect fit... In 2018.
