  1. Someone like Leyland would have already come to the mound and just bitched him out in full view of everyone.
  2. I don't trust Perez to hold it together for 5 pitches.
  3. Seriously, Rocco, you have such a quick hook when guys are pitching well but, by God, if someone is struggling, you let them throw the same amount of pitches. WIN THE GAME.
  4. It is sad to say that even with a six run lead, Perez does not give this team a chance to win.
  5. He couldn't make it through the fifth last time.
  6. Time to get Perez out of there and save himself from himself (as much as I despise the opener theory).
  7. That's actually a good comparison by Dick. Sano does have the appearance of Frank Thomas in the batters box. And he suddenly hits like him too!
  8. The thing that is frustrating for me is that this is clearly our best season in quite awhile (1965, 1991, 2006, 2010, take your pick), but I don't feel like we're any closer to winning a playoff series than we ever were in the 2000s. I don't have faith that this pitching staff can hold either NY or Houston below 8 runs, no matter who is pitching. No matter what the statistics say, I can't ignore history and suddenly believe Trevor May and Tyler Duffey are stud relievers and the thought of Romo facing Judge or Stanton is terrifying. Hopefully, next season we can upgrade the pitching staff to offset what will, almost assuredly, be an offensive drop-off. Debbie Downer, Out.
  9. I'd like to play Rally Monkey. Without Trout, I feel they are beatable.
  10. No. Treating these games like it's spring training is absolutely not the right way to approach this.
  11. I maintain the Twins continue to win despite Rocco, not because of him. His roster management is dubious at best.
  12. Gibby for the 9th? Oh, what do you have up your sleeve, Rocco? I can hardly wait.
  13. Oh, hey, we get to face Merrifield again because of this dumbass bullpen usage.
  14. Why should they have any urgency when the fearless leader just rotates through players so they all get a participation award?
  15. For ****'s sake, is it possible to use your bullpen realistically, Rocco? This isn't ****ing spring training.
  16. Get some runs off this garbage pitching staff. Please.
  17. Schoop is statistically an above average hitting 2b that can hit LHP. Perez contributes nothing. Using him as an opener is asking to be down 4-0. There are 15 guys I'd rather have opening than Perez from your list (and yes, I know you listed just twelve pitchers).
  18. Give me Schoop over Perez any day of the week.
  19. No reason not to run Dobnak out for the 6th.
  20. And Roberto Hernandez (who I thought was the White Sox closer, but it turns out to actually be Fausto Carmona).
  21. His player comps according to baseball ref are Tony Armas, Jerome Williams, Matt Moore, and Scott Kamieniecki.
  22. Thorpe deservedly credited with this win.
