  1. That was a really good game for someone like me with no skin in the game. I don't think I've ever seen a game turn so quickly as I did last night.
  2. Sean Bergman > Joe Mays
  3. We'll never know until we make a legitimate offer to someone.
  4. So the Yankees beat the Twins at a .667 winning percentage, way lower than their normal rate.
  5. Are they waiting for the play-in games to determine game times? I assume we'll play in prime time due to the Yankees but I'd like to know if I need to take the day off work on Friday.
  6. As if the MLB numbers weren't damning enough, the billion percent jump in AAA this season makes it pretty clear that the balls were juiced.
  7. One of the things I always do at the end of the season is to look at the MLB standings as they would have been from 1969-1993 to see if there were any great pennant races we were robbed of (or were provided) due to realignment. How epic would the Dodgers-Astros battle in the old NL West have been this season? It would have been on par with 1993 Braves-Giants. We'd have ended up with Yankees vs Twins and Astros vs Nationals in this year's LCS match-ups. For those of you wondering, the Twins would have been division winners of the AL West in 2006 (vs Yankees), 2010 (vs TB), this year (vs Yankees), and 2004 would have required a one game play-in game with a possible Johan vs Bartolo matchup vs the Angels.
  8. Hopefully MLB goes back to normal baseballs next year and this record stands for eternity.
  9. Kohl Stewart... let's get about twelve runs here.
  10. That is about as good of an outing as you could possibly hope from Perez. Get him out of there.
  11. It seems impossible that any player would have that many hitless at bats against Perez.
  12. Dick not a fan of a player making a mockery of the game by playing all nine positions but has raved about Tovar doing the same thing countless times over the year. Much like him suddenly stating that home run record doesn't mean anything to him. He is such a hypocrite.
  13. They seem to be getting fatigued too, don't they?
  14. Would love to see Perez leave the game now.
  15. At least Perez is making it a fireable offense to bring him back next season.
  16. Postseason strategy: Start Perez since the Twins will score 100 1st inning runs for him and then take him out before he throws a pitch.
  17. My favorite Matt Kemp moment is predicting 50/50 before the 2012 season and having yet to reach even 40 SB combined over the next eight seasons.
  18. Hope you liked today's bullpen game because we have another one tomorrow with Perez on the hill!
  19. In fact, predicting certain death seems to be the only certainty.
  20. Make things even since they are without German and Betances and we are without Pineda and Arraez.
  21. I suppose now we have to hold our breath on every pop up near the mound like it's Game 1 in Oakland.
  22. Good thing they didn't just randomly DFA Schoop.
  23. I actually had a feeling Boom Stick would go deep here after the mood dropped.
  24. Just another day as a Minnesota sports fan.
