That is an inspiring scouting report.

What makes people believe he will take the "Finnegan" route? Other fast track Twins pitchers in the past have been Gutierrez, Wimmers, Burdi. None of them have made it to the big leagues and the guy they stated could be on the roster immediately is out of baseball (to my knowledge). I do not have any faith that this organization knows how to construct or utilize a pitching staff.

Can Jay take Thompson's place one inning ago?
  4. notoriousgod71
At least we didn't take NAylor.

White Sox take my guy again.

    sigh....

    Thumbs down.

FULMER FULMER FULMER FULMER FULMER FULMER!

    The Houston Tuckers.
  10. notoriousgod71
I want Fulmer, Funkhouser, Russell in that order. I'm expecting Jay, Tucker, or Allard.

Good win. We needed this one!

    More RISPY ness.
  13. notoriousgod71
Why on Earth would we offer Pelfrey an extension? Just thank your lucky stars with every quality outing he gives us and let him walk.
  14. notoriousgod71
Twins hitting with RISP is quickly regressing to the mean.

Funkhauser was the guy I wanted going into the season. Unfortunately he has not been good the past month. We draft too high to pick him in the first but I don't see him lasting until our second pick. I think he'll end up having a Lackey-like career.

After watching CSF today I have to think Ryan is in love with Thomas Eshelman. He looks like a Tewksbury-Hershiser (or Slowey as my buddy said) pitcher with outstanding control and a miniscule ERA. He walked his 19th career batter today in his third season. Ryan has to be salivating over him...

That is my vote as well. He reminds me of a cross between a young Greinke/Jered Weaver.
  18. notoriousgod71
It is a very flawed roster to be sure.
  19. notoriousgod71
I don't think it's realistic to overhaul 5/8 of their bullpen.
  20. notoriousgod71
I just have visions of Mauer being Jason Kendall.
  21. notoriousgod71
I would rather have them hit right handed pitchers better anyway as they would face them more often.
  22. notoriousgod71
Dick thinks Chili Davis's name is George...
  23. notoriousgod71
That's exactly why I'm afraid they'll do it.
  24. notoriousgod71
Tonkin couldn't go more than 1 pitch in a ten run game?
  25. notoriousgod71
I hope the Royals sign Nyjer Morgan, Elijah Dukes, and Milton Bradley.
