  1. Bingo
  2. It would have been nice to see the gunman apprehended to face the punishment that he so rightfully deserved. Unfortunately (like so many of these other physcopaths) he took the cowardly way out.
  3. Looking at the last two opponents on the Vikings list doesn't exactly have me brimming with confidence
  4. Somewhere at this moment, Tori Hunter is cussing a blue streak
  5. Hilarious
  6. You just opened up some old emotional wounds with that.
  7. Not too sure if I want to wade back into this or not, but here goes. While Ponder hasn't been given the opportunity to ride the bench and learn from a mentor (such as Rodgers did in Green Bay), the fact that his play makes the offense so one dimensional can only work for so long, no matter how great the star offensive player is. And as has been mentioned, the fact that he has regressed a tad only heightens the concern. The fact that he still trots out onto the field only show how dire the QB situation is for the Vikes. An army without a good field general can only do so much.
  8. Hopefully he'll have a respectable cast of teamates to play with in the not so distant future
  9. Wow, I come back in after clearing snow only to find a win was pulled out. Then I look out the window as I type this to find it snowing again. Irony.
  10. I'm loving the progression of the this thread: Chone Figgins - Jamey Carroll - Avian Flu - Justin Bieber - Joe Mays - Jeff Gray - Hangover - ABBA - ?
  11. I may be pleasantly surprised, but I'm guessing that might be many a four-lettered word uttered.
  12. Reinhold Weege, creator of such hits as "Cheers", "Family Ties", and "The Cosby Show", dead at the age of 62 (or 63, depending on which link you click on).
  13. I did earlier around noon or so (e.g. tried to click on a thread but ended up getting an annoying error message). However, I come back a couple of hours later and the problem seems to have cleared tiself up.
  14. Good win last night, albeit for the free throwing shooting and turnovers.
  15. I could imagine the influx of many of the BYTO community probably contributed to some of the angst. The difference in ideas and philosophies was akin to getting water and oil to mix. But hey, if you shake the two together for long enough, eventually they'll come together.
  16. I wouldn't. That's a decent top of the order, though it's definitely lacking speed. Agreed. Not exactly 4.4/40 speed by any means
  17. You can tell by the up and down results of the last two games (Philly and Boston) that the team still has some things to work out, but hopefully good things are not too far off.
  18. I really don't have anything new to contribute, so I'll just go with the flow by agreeing 100%, grat trade.
  19. Former US Rep. Jack Brooks dead at 89
  20. Dave Brubeck, Jazz Musician, dead at 91
  21. Susan Luckey, actress ("The Music Man") dead at 74
  22. More like he's their 4th starter with Strasburg, Gio, and Zimmerman with Detwiler rounding out the rotation. He's basically their Edwin Jackson for this season. If Dan Haren is to the Nats what Edwin Jackson has been to the Rays, then I would expect the Nats rotation to be pretty dominant. Say what? Edwin Jackson was with the Nats last year. He was their one-year signing last year that went out and earned himself a likely multi year deal. Sorry, had the typical brain fart typical of a long, hard day at work.
  23. Throw Joe Mauer into the mix and you would have much more than this.

  25. The world will go on (maybe not New York, however).
