  1. Hicks or Rosario should have zero problems dominating the gold glove in RF.
  2. If the Royals can win than so can the Twins in the not to distant future.
  3. I'm wondering how much of a finalist Ron Gardenhire was for the Padres job. It sound like the did a 180 with the hire in both age and philosophy.
  4. f I heard this Gabe is the front-runner for the Nationals job.
  5. I hope this doesn't mean the Twins feel Stuart Turner can be more than a backup catcher if he's even good enough for that.
  6. From what I've read about Greinke it wouldn't necessarily be not wanting to play in a mid-market. It's the teams with higher payrolls are often the big city teams.
  7. I wonder if not being satisfied means interest in coaches on teams still active.
  8. My rear if Utley doesn't deserve blame because MLB allows it to happen. How about playing the game hard and fair because it's the right thing to do not because you have to.
  9. From a skill set. Mauer to third makes less sense than Mauer back to catcher. He's at best okay at certain aspects of playing 1st and poor in others.
  10. I don't see Gardenhire being hired by any team unless he's willing to change with the times. Even than there might be better candidates like Bud Black hired chosen over him.
  11. Glen Perkins and the lineup lost the game for the Twins.
  12. Trevor May should either be the closer or be in the starting rotation. Since he wasn't up this year no reason not to continue the arbitration clock with Berrios. I think worth mentioning that the best rookies for financial and other reasons didn't start the season in the major leagues. My gut tells me the Twins at best platoon at catcher. The key is finding a younger catcher who can take over a majority of catching duties. My fear is the Twins settle for someone with hopes Stuart Turner can hit enough to be productive in the majors.
  13. The loss to Detroit in the game that carried over into early Thursday morning. Twins blow a lead in the 9th. Miss a chance to win the game in the bottom of the 9th and a second opportunity to win with a walk-off hit. The Twins just hit like the s word on Friday night and Perkins should be on the trading block. I can't hypothetically give them a win they really weren't that close to winning.
  14. I'm starting to really dislike the Rangers.
  15. She really never had her A game the entire tournament. Up until today it was never in doubt she'd win but it wasn't with the ease you would have expected. In related news 'Joker' is one win away from taking three of the four Men's Grand Slam titles. He reached the French Open finals losing to Stan Wawrinka.
  16. I think it needs to happen this off-season or the likelihood becomes less and less. One question I'd ask is rather the window to win a World Series is even open anymore?
  17. Dodgers vs Twins World Series 2.0 Revenge is a dish best served cold!
  18. I think what's helping Rosario is he's had a good rookie season but not earth shattering. I can regression next year but he can certainly progress and become a better hitter. Santana was so above his expectations that a regression was expected just not this dramatically.
  19. For all the positive contribution he's had this year the on-base is horrible. I believe his o.b. is only .285. He's walked only 12 times this year. For the remainder of this season it may not be much of a problem but future years the number needs to get better.
  20. You're right about the Astros. They've played around .500 ball since early June. To their credit they've been a little better since the All-Star break. Also worth mentioning they didn't have the fall the Twins had.
  21. Texas or Houston loses. Only a game and half game lead but it just seems like Houston is the much better team.
  22. At this point the Twins don't control their own density so you have to hope Texas loses.
  23. Flips a coin... Colts and Eagles Super Bowl.
  24. It's the little things like bunting in the first inning in the 2010 ALDS that drove me crazy about playoff Ron Gardenhire. I get he's a give up the out type of manager but that early in the game is the wrong decision.
  25. Bad news is Texas is at home for 10 games starting tomorrow. There schedule the rest of the way is also easier than the Twins.
