  1. How depressing.
  2. Would rather Kepler play every day in Rochester. Should add if Rosario doesn't start hitting he might see regular playing time with the Twins.
  3. Unfortunately history doesn't always repeat itself. That's not to say things can't turn around but remember except for an amazing May the Twins weren't a very good team.
  4. I get Nunez scores more easier from 2nd on a hit but with two outs do you pull Mauer after already taking Sano out of the game?
  5. Maybe he ends up okay but what was the point of bringing in Park?
  6. More curious if Sano getting use to the outfield will have any negative effect on his hitting.
  7. 199 and it's Mears and Meares.
  8. I generally don't like how the strikeout is being dismissed for batters but rightfully so what most teams want from their pitching staffs.
  9. It worries me in part because the lineup doesn't have enough guys who can get on-base to even out the high strikeout totals.
  10. I get it's only two innings into the season but I hate all the strikeouts. We're not talking about a team that scores a high number of runs. There's certainly potential but it's mostly unproven. Strikeouts to me are like alcohol or deserts everything in moderation.
  11. Compare the lineups from '14 and '15 and Molitor offensively had less to work with overall. Yes he had Sano for 80 games but Sano adjace Kennys Vargas also had a good rookie season.
  12. The tides already turned with Mauer. Instead of numerous columns filled with outrage there's more of an apathy of how fall his numbers have fallen.
  13. It will be interested to see what happens in three years when his contract ends. He'd be 36 and if he doesn't get better would he retire.
  14. Unpopular opinion but I thought John Gordon the broadcaster was awful. Like only in Minnesota could he have a job for nearly 25 years bad.
  15. I'm certainly not expecting a repeat of next season. I have the win total around 78 or 79 this year. If the young players make real progress including the bullpen that my not be the worst thing for the future.
  16. Similar record to last season Depending on how things play out maybe contending for that second wildcard spot going into the last week of the season.
  17. I think it's pretty obvious that the Twins are putting together a 'just good enough' bullpen with the power-arms in the minors eventually being the foundation of a good bullpen. The concern is all but one of those guys performed at or above expectations last year so putting all your cards in unproven talent is a risky move.
  18. It's not so much about performance. It's looking at the recent history of pitchers like Betances. Hard throwing strikeout pitchers have tendency to be overused by their teams. The Yankees have a history of it and I think it happens with Betances this season.
  19. I think Chapman is suspended but Betances ends up missing more time. He looks like a TJ surgery waiting to happen. Last year he had arm fatigue and was not the same pitcher in 2nd half. He was still a good reliever but the drop was noticeable.
  20. Lemmy is finally dealt the deadman's hand.
  21. Norm Green Sucks! The loss of hockey in the state of Hockey and rise of the NHL in the sunbelt. Turning Pro..Kevin Garnett jumps to the NBA. Farragut Academy PF Kevin Garnett's decision to enter the NBA draft changes the game forever. Bud: The story Bud Grant a man greater than four super bowl losses. (Might be better suited for HBO)
  22. At this point I don't have expectations other than stay near mediocrity.
  23. The best answer is he's just a legit jerk who think he's better than the yokels asking questions.
  24. He probably had limited options on the market. The free big market teams either don't need a C or didn't feel it was enough of an upgrade to pay a 30 year old catcher a long-term deal.
  25. I think the window is closing for Gardenhire. Unless he's hired mid=season that would make two full years out of baseball. Not improbable to come back but out of sight out of mind.
