  1. How about Twins actually show some concepts of team hitting tonight. Work counts, foul off pitches and stop chasing sliders or sweepers at their feet. Low let it go, High let it fly as Latroy Hawkins would say. As I said earlier in this thread Twins control there own fate. I'd say we need some luck, but you make your own breaks too.
  2. You would think with all the young players Twins have they would be motivated by playoff money and shares. I mean the Vets probably don't care as they are set financially, but the young guys making minimum Salary's the chance to make extra money would seem to matter. I mean Ober, Miranda, Lee, Juliene, Wallner, Larnach, Jax, Duran, even Royce the chance for playoff checks would seem to matter. I don't see the Twins as quitters, it's not like they rolled over in Cleveland either, they played hard. Need Festa to pitch a good game tonight, get the bat's going see what happens. Twins still control their own playoff destiny.
  3. I said feelers, which means back channel through agents. Nobody talks directly when looking to make moves, but agents know what to look for and who to talk to unofficially. If Rocco is feeling any heat he will be looking to move. I mean Council was still managing Brewers but looking for landing spots last year. I know different as hus contract was up. I could see teams like Rockies or Pirates wanting to shake things up, even the Rays. You are right though nobody is going to tamper directly.
  4. Well if that isn't telling and a kick in the shins.
  5. Do you have any quotes or sound bites from foul territory? Would be interesting to see some outsider perspectives of the Twins. Comments about bullpen usage or line-ups. As a Twins fan, all tge meltdowns are reminders how Pagan would blow leads in 2022.
  6. Royals and Tigers have fire and an edge and seem like teams that reflect their managers. Twins have Rocco and a collection of strangers.
  7. 100% on ownership as much as players. They knew their were holes, and health issues plus a lot of untested rookies. When opportunity was available ownership did nothing to pitch in or contribute. It's always been that way since Eloise passed on. The rest of that clan cares about gate receipts and beers and Jersey's sold. You can tell in the marketing ads, they promote objects, hat's jersey's, boblehead promotions not the baseball. When ownership could have stepped up they sat Idle. I doubt Morosi was telling a lie about payroll constraints at trade deadline. Asset cost or whatever and prices, there was a message to do with what you have. They even blew the TV contract deal causing a large portion of fans to not even be able to watch. We don't have the Rays, A's or Marlins ownership but we have penny pincher types like them. Off-season and minors are for development not the pros. We never had a stable line-up card all year. We will likely never win another WS championship with the Pohlads. They seem satisfied with just good enough to make playoffs or fringes of it.
  8. Do not give the Pohlads any of your money. Think I'm gonna quit going to games until they sell. Twins organization needs fresh ownership voice. Time for the banking clan to cash out.
  9. Beyond Sands, Jax, Duran our bullpen is just a collection of guy's. Left hand pitching has been a major problem since beginning of year.
  10. Rocco isn't very good at bullpen management. Not sure who we can get to replace him?
  11. Ripping into them wouldn't do any good, they are wallowing in self pity, packing bags for off-season. This team is toast, stick a fork in em.
  12. Although I would enjoy postseason play, no ownership group deserves it less than Joe Pohlad and group.
  13. Thielbar has been an extremely hitable pitcher this year. If he were not left handed and making a little money he would be DFA'd.
  14. Can we get lucky 1 time against these dudes?
  15. We sacrificed for strike out prone Margot?
  16. Isn't there someone faster than Farmer that can run?
  17. Jeffers is as close to an automatic out that Twins have. Starting to look like Gallo at the plate.
  18. Didn't we see Twins downsize advanced scouting and analytics staffs this past off-season? Thought I read Twins cut area scouts too.
  19. Ugh, strike-out looking after chasing last at bat.
  20. If Twins start a rally, please pinch hit for Ryan Jeffers, he is automatic strike-out right now.
  21. Another terrible infield shift on a routine ground ball. Rocco's magic touch and bufoonery strikes again.
  22. Option of Alcala on Tuesday instead of Henreiquez may be a nail in the 2024 season. I know hindsight but seems like a really bad decision now. If you are basing it off stuff and potential one guy has movement, the other throws flat fastballs.
