  1. So overwhelming opinion is he gets shut down? I'm very strongly in the belief he plays with the twins. If healthy, of course. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'll be extremely surprised if he doesn't play for the TwinS again this year. He needs mlb at bats, not aaa. He has the talent, and has shown he can succeed in this league.
  2. Trade him? Mostly kidding.... Mostly. They will probably CALL HIM UP!!! All kidding aside, he probably needs to get some work in against mlb pitching. Let him work a part time role, getting reps and seeing mlb/milb pitchers. Remember, he'll get his share of young pitchers to hit against in September. That is probably the right way to use the last month of the season with him.
  3. Damn, roku had a nice Thursday... Up 18%, and could go higher. Missed that one going public September of last year too...
  4. When did it go public? I saw that one coming the first time I saw a device using it. Another 10 years and I might have my student loans paid off.
  5. Musk just loves being the center of attention. Tesla the company has issues, musk keeps the focus off their business issues. They are so far ahead everyone right now, and known for electric vehicles. The product is pretty good, they just need to increase production efficiency. That is a better problem than the other way around.
  6. Musk sounds like he is considering opening a manufacturing plant in China. If Tesla builds a battery facility and a car factory in Asia they will be a force to be reckoned with in the automotive and electricity storage sectors. If course, they risk losing intellectual property with type of expansion, but I'm not sure it will matter. My colleague works with Tesla, and they are getting better, but they still are a **** show internally.
  7. From the sound of it, he really struggled. I hope Tanner Morgan is the real deal. Props to him for stepping up and playing well.
  8. My favorite moment was before I watched any film of him...
  9. Anybody planning to buy spotify? I could see them expanding their content into tv and sports if they wanted. Once they go public they'll have enough power to get into any type of streaming they want.
  10. How hard is it to become a day trader at home? What are good books to read to begin learning about the market and all the intricacies? I watched the dirty money episode on valeant and becoming Warren buffet, now I'm intrigued how people making a living doing this. I'm a math major, so numbers and equations fit in with my skills. I'm not ready to start dabbling yet, but in a few years I might be. Mike, we could start a hedge fund with your money lol.
  11. If I had cash...
  12. This is impressive.... I don't have any money besides my 401k and Roth in the market now, so this doesn't affect me too much. I am going to start a few 529 plans soon though.
  13. I was going to say the same. The premise was fun, but the execution was absolutely awful. How in earth did Will Smith get talked into this movie?
  14. I think he can go higher. Wisconsin is obviously the best comparison. That level of competitiveness is the goal. I'd like to be better, but I think the stadium and fan support will hold them back. Once they are competitive, sell out tcf consistently, maybe they can add 20k seats. Head coach football iq is inconsequential imo. Head coach needs to evaluate talent, evaluate coaches, and be somebody kids want to play for. I think kids want to play for fleck, I'm not convinced of the other facets. Both coordinators should be fired.
  15. Some nice recruits committing. Looks like the o line could be completely new next year. Juco qb that has some skill. This class is solid. At least fleck is getting talent already.
  16. Good luck? My question is, why play this kid at all? Then, with the writing on the wall, why keep playing him! What a disaster of a year.
  17. I'm over Stewart. I've been hoping he could put it together, but doubting it more each day. If I was a bad team, why would I want a guy that doesn't miss bats and sits in the low 90s with a straight fastball? He won't get claimed. Jury is out on him. Unless he finds more bite to his slider or a cutter, he is destined to fizzle out.
  18. I guess Croft didn't show up at the banquet. Must be some bad blood. Really could care less about Croft, prefer he never plays another down in a gopher jersey. The message it sends is a little less than inspiring. I'd argue Kill took over a better team in 2011.
  19. That is a valid take. I can't fault you for not wanting to see more of a coach that showed to be completely over his head and a scared. The media should be roasting him (not in mpls so don't follow the general opinion). I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, considering the team he took over wouldn't even compete for the mountain west. That isn't his fault. There were plenty of things on him though, so I hope to see adjustments next season.
  20. It wouldn't have been much different with any other coach. The players are just bad at every level. Winfield is a stud, and the rbs are studs. That's it. Hard to win games in the big ten with that. I think Croft and Rhoda are trash and would have liked to see if Green had anything, but others have said he looks terrible in practice. Fleck needs to make adjustments for sure. I don't mind his shtick too much, and think high school kids will eat it up, but he needs more than energy to be successful.
  21. I'd say the result this season was expected. Can't win in the big 10 without talent anywhere besides rb and db. However, there is a thing as losing with dignity. The last loss was bad. A well put together game plan and adjustments can go a long way (Claeys made good in game adjustments). Hopefully this Saturday is a bit better.
  22. I liked Kill. I thought he put together good game plans and the players had solid fundamentals. Claeys was ok, but there was questionable decisions. Claeys was also terrible at recruiting. Kill or Claeys might have done a little better with this team, but not much. I expect coaching changes from Fleck. Both coordinators need to go. D line coach needs to go... You know what, he needs to turn over almost the entire staff imo. Just waiting for another embarrassment against Bucky.
  23. I'll give him a longer leash. Not impressed so far. He's been blatantly outcoached this entire year. The talent is very depleted, but that isn't an excuse for lack of fundamentals and horrible game plans. Clock is ticking. Hopefully Coyle will go down with him.
  24. I think Brooks is injured again. Has to be. That game was embarrassing. The defense has lost a bunch of starters, but mostly in the secondary. That said, the d line and linebackers are terrible. I'm not sure what the game plan had been lately. The last 5 years, it's been pretty clear what the game plan was. Now, the team is paying aimlessly with a weak defense and worse qb. Fleck will have to make some changes to the coaching staff, regardless of the talent on this team isn't top notch.
  25. Maybe the receivers were off tonight, but that wasn't the case last weekend. They don't have a ton of talent there, but Tyler Johnson is a pretty solid receiver. These guys are making me miss Matt leidner, and that is tough to do.
