    How the hell is this game not on local tv today? There's just no excuse for it, especially with the Red Sox in town.

    Side note on Aaron Hicks: I'm glad to see that he has accepted the fact that he's going bald and is just shaving the whole thing off now. It's much better that way and actually looks like he's 25 instead of 35 without a hat.

    Rain is supposed to subside between 8:00 and 9:00. Expect an hour long rain delay at best, although it wouldn't surprise me if they just postponed it to tomorrow since there's no rain in the forecast tomorrow.

    Plouffe has turned himself into a very good corner infielder, in both hitting and fielding, far past I think most people's expectations considering where he was just a couple of years ago. The problem however is that we've been grooming his successor for years and he is on the verge of taking over, whether it be later this season or next season. So...where are we going to put him? Corner outfield? Well, one of those spots will be taken by Rosario for years to come. Hunter probably won't be around after this season, so one spot will be open. I like to think that they don't want Arcia out there any more than they need to as he is an incredible liability out there, so if you move Plouffe, I would say that corner OF is the most likely route. All the other infield spots are taken long term. As much as it dismays some of the critics, Joe Mauer isn't going anywhere. It's not a realistic option, even if the front office wanted to move him, which they don't. I guess you could put Plouffe or Sano at DH, but we're going to have a hug logjam there very soon anyway with the possibility of Arcia, Vargas or Sano (three guys who have big bats but are terrible defensively) at DH. And then you got the final option, which is to trade him. Obviously, any player is tradable at the right price. But I'd hate to lose a guy like Plouffe who has excelled far past what was expected out of him and is now just becoming a big asset for us. Good problems to have obviously. Just don't want to make the wrong decision here.

    My wife to be and I are heading to Ireland in a few weeks for our honeymoon and I know that you were just there recently. We have most of our plans figured out by now, but is there anything that you saw that you would recommend is a must see if you are there? If anyone else want to chime in too, by all means go ahead.

    I picked a bad summer to get married. If I weren't spending two weeks in Ireland immediately afterward, I would spend my vacation time knocking three stadiums off my bucket list in PNC Park, Busch Stadium and Great American Ballpark.

    Loris just assigned GM Dan Jennings to be the new manager. And if you guessed that this man has literally as much management experience as you and I on any level, you would be correct.

    He got rich because of his incredible ability to convince people to give him things he didn't deserve. Look at that ballpark they have. That was one of the biggest sweetheart deals you'll ever find. He invested nearly none of his own money in the stadium and he broke every promise he made of revitalizing the community surrounding it. Meanwhile, Miami-Dade county will be paying $2.4 billion over the next 40 years.

    I like how Vargas was asked to take 1st base in the 9th inning when it starts to downpour. Reminds me of when I took part in Junior High football, and one time we played the entire game in a thunderstorm. Everyone was filthy except for like two or three of us (myself included) who never got in the game. And after the game our coach told the ones who didn't play "I won't accept this ****. Get out there right now and do some belly sliding!"
