Well, Harry Potter books are getting burned again, only this time it's because they are offending their new god. http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-38842695

I'm fairly convinced that Trump didn't even know who Fredrick Douglass was until this morning and that he thinks he is still alive.

Not surprising given the guy running the White House previously ran a rival media company. http://www.mediaite.com/tv/cnn-is-reportedly-being-iced-out-by-trump-administration/ The White House has refused to send its spokespeople or surrogates onto CNN shows, effectively icing out the network from on-air administration voices. “We’re sending surrogates to places where we think it makes sense to promote our agenda,” said a White House official, acknowledging that CNN is not such a place, but adding that the ban is not permanent.

And it begins... https://www.texasobserver.org/texas-lawmaker-no-abortion-access-would-force-women-to-be-more-personally-responsible-with-sex/ House Bill 948 would ban and criminalize abortions at any stage, direct state officials to ignore “any conflicting federal” laws, and would no longer exempt pregnancies as a result of rape, incest or fetal abnormalities. The bill would remove the exception for abortion in the state’s penal code for criminal homicide, meaning that women and providers could face charges as serious as murder for the procedure.

Two days in, and the Trump administration is now using the term " alternative facts". Are we living in hell yet?

After seeing Sean Spicer's first press conference today, am I crazy to think that it's only a matter of time before the Trump administration starts revoking the White House press credentials of news organizations for no reason other than they are critical of him?

Obama: "I am considering evicting the press from the White House!" Average Trump supporter: "You treasonous Muslim communist bastard! What are you hiding now!" Trump: "I am considering evicting the press from the White House!" Average Trump supporter: *blows load*

http://www.startribune.com/bert-blyleven-back-as-twins-tv-analyst-but-doing-fewer-games/398739201/ Bert Blyleven has been a Twins TV analyst for more than two decades, but in that time he’s seen his role reduced. Based on a two-year contract he agreed to recently, that role will be even smaller in 2017 and 2018. Blyleven is slated to do 80 games on Fox Sports North in both of those years, which would represent a reduction of 20 games from recent seasons. Twins President Dave St. Peter confirmed that Blyleven and play-by-play voice Dick Bremer will both be back in 2017 and 2018. He said the Twins and FSN proposed the 80-game package to Blyleven — which the Hall of Fame pitcher accepted — and are “jointly considering multiple options” for the other 70 games expected to be televised by FSN. Roy Smalley, Jack Morris and Tim Laudner — all former Twins players, as is Blyleven — served as FSN analysts in 2016.

FYI, keep in mind that the legal minimum amount of SCOTUS justices needed on the bench to make a decision is six. There are some whom there is real potential to not even make it another four years. If we get to five, the SCOTUS cannot even legally operate. As stupid as that would normally sound, it's becoming legitimately a real concern.

Well so much for giving the people their voice. John McCain said today that he will make sure all SCOTUS nominees will be blocked for the entirety of Hillary's presidency.

29 games to go, and 23 of those game are against teams with winning records. We can do this!

Just passed Atlanta for the first pick in next year's draft.

They didn't get to five innings. The game will start over with everyone's stats for the night erased.

Yeah, I'd say he's done pretty well for himself since his last marriage.

It is once the game starts. Before it starts, it's the home team's decision.
  25. kydoty
Why even bother starting the game right now? It's going to be the wrath of God in less than 30 minutes and that means both starters will be out of the game by the 2nd or 3rd inning.
