  1. Shelton calling all the right shots….. for the Royals.
  2. Another inconsequential, worthless batter challenge lost. Now out of challenges in a close game. Hit a homer anyway! Didn’t even need it.
  3. Challenging an inconsequential 0-1 count strike call by Martin in the 5th with 2 outs and bases empty is just selfish. To prevent a K or get a walk …. OK. But these guys have to keep the overall context of the game in focus. These are valuable and could swing a game in the later innings. As long as baseball has to go through this transition stage and not just get all calls abs correct, they have to be smarter about the really close ones.
  4. It is so sickening to watch this. 2 innings 5 hits a walk and 2 WILD PITCHES! Just gross. Yesterday continued. Even got gifts of strike calls. Why aren’t these guys ready to play/pitch when the game starts?
  5. A lot of guessing/gossip here. I guess we all can guess. Including that he was even upset/angey. As candid as Ryan is, no reason not to just ask him if he was angry, and if so, exactly what about, instead of all the guessing and assuming.
  6. Matt Martin. Right field in a Twins uniform is jinxed.
  7. Walks, hit batters, throw in a few balks, stolen bases, and generous hits. And a DFA in the near future.
  8. The autocorrect changed consistently to consistency and I didn’t notice, but I wasn’t saying always. Consistent trends/occurrences will have anomalies. If you haven’t noticed it happening, well, you haven’t noticed. It’s not worth the time in my life for a deep dive. I tend to agree with Ashbury who is ……. “of the opinion that there is a negative trend for the Twins like people suggest.”
  9. The most important part of relief is inherited runners scoring. That commonly gets left out of the quoted stat line.
  10. All the while, opposing teams throw pitching debuts at us with great frequency, and we are Minnesota Nice and make them consistency look like the next Cy Young candidate. We offer any excuse we can come up with for our inept debuts, but facilitate the other team’s.
  11. Right. Looking forward to another losing streak in the future with these two announcers, who apparently, are the bad luck team, who voice excuses with the best of them.
  12. I guess the sun doesn’t bother Mangum. Even more difficult angle there than Larnach’s
  13. They are wrong. You are right. Just a justification for parsimonious owner behavior.
  14. To me, the key blunder was Shelton bringing Funderburk back out instead of going to Klein with a clean inning ahead. Just dumb.
  15. Feel good stories are like innings eaters. If that is your best calling card, good luck to your team.
  16. Klein as wild to first as he is to the plate!
