    That was one where you should try it. Jeffers didn’t look happy. Doesn’t make sense to me to not try to bury them with another run. Two outs. Go for it. If he beats you with his arm tip your hat. Nobody can say what would have happened as a fact. He could have thrown offline a bit. Might have beat him home even with a good throw. Lewis sealed the deal anyway. Hold on now pen.

    Now if they DFA him again, they have to hope he makes it through waivers again. I thought it was lucky he did this time. He even accepted assignment instead of selecting Free Agency. He did great for the time Jeffers was out. He was successfully stashed in case Jeffers or Caratini got injured, which could happen any game. I guess they would rather Jenkins and Wallner hit homers for St Paul. why can’t we ever have a Josh Báez?

    Buxton just can’t come through when it counts. I heard earlier that the Twins lead the league with scoring runs with the bases loaded. I wonder if they also lead the lead with stranded runners with the bases loaded? Sure seems like it. Might be by a lot?

It WAS a fine at bat against a great pitcher. Edit: Very next at bat vs Braves? Horrible. Three pitch 4 run rally killer against Braves. Three pitch K swinging at a way low outside slider looking like Buxton with two on base. Next, K looking at a pitch right down the middle on 4 pitches. If he was going to use his best in pen today, anyway, as it appears he was, you have to pull Prielipp after the third walk, with a run in on a walk, and Bohm coming up with the bases loaded and having already doubled twice today against him. Now 2-0, in the 5th already, still two outs for the last 4 batters. A manager HAS TO PULL THE his pitcher. Especially in this part of the season. You have to. You only need 1 out to save the game. But no. Let him give up 6 more runs and then put your high leverage guys in trailing 8-0 for the innings, the work? Shelton is sleeping at the wheel.

    Culpepper not even being able to make a simple tag on a perfect throw was pretty disappointing. Something that is no different no matter what league you are playing in. Looks like another future utility guy so far.
