  1. Unlike Bailey Ober? Has this whoever he is been watching all season?
  2. Arcia is hitting great right now, and has been in St Paul. At least someone is hitting. Get it while it’s hot.
  3. Rogers could shake him off. What a pitcher decides to throw is up to him. Caratini leaves a lot to be desired, but the pitcher throwing a meatball is never on the catcher.
  4. Check swings at strikes are getting to be a plague. Or very close but not strikes. Just hit the ball and swing with intention. Those close pitches are very hittable. It’s not like we have a lineup that hits for average behind him anyway.
  5. Caratini gets all the way to second on a triple hit. Chug chug.
  6. Just have Morneau give Lewis the Gardenhire speech that he got from Gardenhire on June 7, 2006, when he was hitting .236 or whatever it was, and Gardenhire pulled him into his visiting office in Seattle and closed the door. (Imagine a hitter on the Twins getting benched for hitting .236 these days..... we are lucky if they hit that high now..... that's over half the roster) Morneau litterally took off, for two months, from June 8 to August 9, he hit .399 with a .742 slugging %. and finished the year at .321 with 34 homers and 130 RBI, and won the MVP! Or just have Gardenhire give it to Lewis. Couldn't hurt, eh? Or maybe it's the excessive eye black.... or just that ostentatious design he thinks is so cool......
  7. I would rather take 5. And just 1 - just 3 scoreless outs from Taylor “Soft Contact” Rogers.
  8. Ha. You can say that again. Wait, you already did.
  9. On the bats? They scored 5 runs! Mr “Soft Contact”? Right. He had empty bases to get three outs, with the lead - and that is on the bats? Right. The pitcher can always chose what he throws, regardless of of what a catcher calls.
  10. No problem. Double play in order…. except they will steal second.
  11. That was a horrible send. But Arcia did come through! A successful bunt, and Martin is good at it, would have scored a run there for sure
  12. That’s rich coming from Stone, who complained about the rule change from the stinking “neighborhood” tradition and slides five get off the base!
  13. He was safe at second! Chicago never touched the base!
  14. Keaschall is not improving in the field. Or at the plate. Clemons is, though.
