    If we take out Buxton’s $15 million, we are down to $59 million for the rest of the team.

    Rose colored glasses? Yet in division cellar, 1 game out of AL cellar, and 1 1/2 game out of MLB cellar. 5-15 last 20 games. Maybe I just need my glasses tinted? 😇

    Last place in division, 1 game out of American League cellar, 1 1/2 out of MLB cellar. 11-7/5-15. Shelton likes the ‘tone’ of this team, though. Will Buxton ever be the guy that actually steps up in the big spots? Just what your “best player” would be expected/hoped to do, at least sometimes? Another strikeout with 2 outs and the bases loaded. Who would have thunk it? A simple single in his next no pressure bases empty at bat in the 8th - no problem.

    Hey! We got 3 hits, and 2 were Wallner! At least this team is consistent…… …..ly inconsistent.

    I guess I communicated poorly. Worry? No worrying involved.

    Heal? Hope so. Alex Kirilloff heal? Royce Lewis heal? Injuries, especially running into walls, add up. God luck to him and the Twins. At this point, stock isn’t rising.

    With acknowledgment of above average challenges by our catchers, I don’t get challenging a 0-0 count on Taylor’s first pitch with 2 outs in the top of the 5th. Hardly worth any risk of losing a challenge you may need late in a game with a bullpen like ours.

    Of course Walker hurts himself, again. With a huge lead, too. Good luck to him. Sometimes, like Jack Morris, you need to consider the game (and the league), while you play. All these top prospects off the field for so much of their minor league seasons. Gotta play smart.

    Only one RBI of 14 that hasn’t come from his 7 solo and three 2 run homers. 10 of the 14 are himself. Hot, except with runners on base. He does have 25 runs scored.

    The rest of the team must absolutely despise their bullpen teammates. It must be terribly uncomfortable and awkward in that clubhouse.

    I guess Caratini should have saved the WP/PB anyway., maybe. Caratini suffers the consequence at home plate with collision. Maybe karma still assigned a PB and got even.

    Except the wild pitch advanced the runners that caused bell to throw home on what would have been a double play grounder. It all starts with pitching.

    Ober and the pen catch Toronto on an off day, perhaps? Anytime the pen comes through it has become shocking. And Ober AND the pen? I’m shocked. Interesting tidbit about Buxton’s year so far. Of his 8 total homers, 6 are solo and 2 2-run. He has only 11 total RBI. 8 are himself from his own homers, a 2 from runners on before he homered. So he has a single RBI from all other opportunities with runners on in scoring position or multiple runners on. 1 all year. He does have 23 runs scored (15 from non-homers). Perhaps more of his hits will drive more runs in in the future.

    Did Caratini call for review of called strike 3 in the 8th? MLB Gameday looks like he would have won. 8th inning behind by 4…… what is he waiting for. Box shows they had 2 left. I have no video today.
