Challenging an inconsequential 0-1 count strike call by Martin in the 5th with 2 outs and bases empty is just selfish. To prevent a K or get a walk …. OK. But these guys have to keep the overall context of the game in focus. These are valuable and could swing a game in the later innings. As long as baseball has to go through this transition stage and not just get all calls abs correct, they have to be smarter about the really close ones.
It is so sickening to watch this. 2 innings 5 hits a walk and 2 WILD PITCHES! Just gross. Yesterday continued. Even got gifts of strike calls. Why aren’t these guys ready to play/pitch when the game starts?
A lot of guessing/gossip here. I guess we all can guess. Including that he was even upset/angey. As candid as Ryan is, no reason not to just ask him if he was angry, and if so, exactly what about, instead of all the guessing and assuming.
The autocorrect changed consistently to consistency and I didn’t notice, but I wasn’t saying always. Consistent trends/occurrences will have anomalies. If you haven’t noticed it happening, well, you haven’t noticed. It’s not worth the time in my life for a deep dive. I tend to agree with Ashbury who is ……. “of the opinion that there is a negative trend for the Twins like people suggest.”
All the while, opposing teams throw pitching debuts at us with great frequency, and we are Minnesota Nice and make them consistency look like the next Cy Young candidate. We offer any excuse we can come up with for our inept debuts, but facilitate the other team’s.
Right. Looking forward to another losing streak in the future with these two announcers, who apparently, are the bad luck team, who voice excuses with the best of them.
