  1. 8-8 since the streak. 5-5 on the road trip. Losing close games is hard to watch, but getting slaughtered and the offense not even putting up a fight shouldn't be perfectly acceptable, even if you have to accept it. How about that famous pitching pipeline. Trade Paddack, eh? Never enough pitching, especially performing well and healthy pitching. The Twins seem to love "good stories" even more than more competitive replacements on the roster in waiting. As long as they were throwing in the towel today, it was the day for .........Clemens to take the mound. Now that would have been a "good story". Opportunity missed.
  2. Yup. For games that Festa and Alcala and Funderburk and a position player throw a game away. Its that pitching pipeline. Hey, it wasn't Matthews that qiut after 77 pitches yesterday. He was a victim of Baldelli Ball.
  3. Even a broken clock is right for 2 minutes of the 1440 each day 😇 And just like that, Lopez is out indefinitely. Good Pitching. Never too much depth. Always not enough. Jorge Lopez is available again…..🥂
  4. Dismissive, I get it. It just means that you would pass up way more value in return. Stephen Curry was expected to be healthy, too. Timberwolves so very lucky he wasn't. Never had an injury like it in his whole career, yet there it was. It can happen to anyone at anytime. For sure. Hope and dreams is a way to go. A common, in-the-box way to go. Lots of tickets needed for the hope and dreams group to see the HOF, and help in any playoffs anytime soon, if ever.
  5. Neither did Atlanta in 2021...... and they could have gotten all that value for Freeman when they were under .500 (51-54) on the July 30 trade deadline. The Dodgers have had a ton of seasoned and real good pitching the last two years, and then hardly have any that can pitch in the playoffs. There is always a chance, and pitching will be so very important.
  6. Finally getting the value out of Paddack, what the team always hoped for..... SO TRADE HIM?!!!!!! Yup. Fans are so loyal these days. The pitching pipeline, eh? You will want to trade the first one that is successful. Bring on more strangers. I don't really care one way or another, because there is not time to care with how the business works anymore. Not worth thinking about what Formula Falvey will do anymore. I don't trade players who are performing the best with a chance at the post season run. Neither did Atlanta, when they kept Freddie and won the World Series with him in 2021. Value. Like Pressly for the next Pressly, Alcala. 7 years of seasoning and the value is coming any day now. And Celestino thrown in was a real coup.
  7. And Pablo Day at a visiting ballpark? Give it a break. Trying too hard on that one.
  8. Even as a kid, it never makes sense to me that a fly ball that turns into a SF, isn't an at bat. Like you were never at the plate at all. And a wild pitch with no runners on, isn't still a wild pitch (or a passed ball). Like it never happened.
  9. "Great night for Buxton"........ (at the plate).
  10. Well you are quick and easy. Good luck to your wife. 😇
  11. Regarding dissing Ryan's performance/results........ It should be 8-1 rigt now. Clarke was struck out for the third out. No 3 run homer. And on top of that, I would hope Buxton catches one like that next time. Two times he should or could have been relieved of 3 runs scored.
  12. Diving anyway when he couldn't get to the sinking liner..... and that ball at the fence is one that a fearsome Buxton catches. Wise to not bang into the wall. He was even about a foot or so to the right of the ball coming at him from his view. That is not the Buxton we have come to expect. I don't think it is wise at all for him to be diving like he did earlier for several weeks. The snap of the head like that or face plant that is possible as he hits the ground in this post concussion time has to be respected
  13. This game marks the end of a fearsome Buxton in centerfield.
  14. Sure. Falvey can be trusted to make sure thing trades, and that kind of trade is said not to exist. Falvey always makes great trades. Alcala will be the next Ryan Pressly any day now. Hitters traded for will be sure to hit. Look at our sure thing guys that were the talk of the off season. And we have great pitching depth. Canterino and all the no miss guys with no real MLB experience et al willl be ready to fill in soon. Falvey has an amazing track record, right?
  15. 5-7 since the streak. A losing team. Back to a minor league ballpark for 4 (not 3). What a waste of another great starter performance. The scoring run should’ve never been on base, much less 2nd and definitely not third. Choking defense.
  16. WHEN WILL I LEARN TO NEVER TRY TO LEAVE COMMENTS WITH MY PHONE ON THIS ADVERT INFECTED INFESTED SITE? GONE IN A FLASH.
  17. Have you noticed pitchers WE sign over the years? Lots of teams would trade for the next Ryan Pressly. Teams are signing way worse pitchers than Alcala with way worse stuff all the time.
  18. Asolutely. But sending Wallner there was the initial gaff. He is, after all, nursing the hammy injury comeback, too. Just a horrible slide. Can you even call that a slide?
  19. He IS a below average slider! Two innings in a row of a Wallner baserunning bad outcome.
