    The thing that is interesting about the Hughes-Morneau swap would be getting a chance to have Hughes in Target Field for 2 months see what he has, if he likes pitching there and you may have an inside track to signing him this winter. It also gives you 2 months to decide that this guy isn't worth it instead of signing him this winter and being sadly surprised. Plus you can still re-sign Morneau this winter which IMO would not be a good idea.

    A little off the chart but would a Perkins for Mark Trumbo (or somebody like him just an example) work? An everyday, semi proven possibly position blocked, player rather than a prospect or two with 3+ years of control make more sense?

    You really should read stuff before commenting. You are getting a lot over the top today!! What I said about Perkins would also apply to Buxton if you can make the team better over the long haul a good GM should trade any player, that is his job make the team better. If you can't make the team better don't trade him.

    Perkins may turn into the next Rivera, no one knows. It's more likely that he will tail off or get injured because that is the norm. Neither is for sure. However, if a trade can be made that makes the Twins better or likely better over the long term, don't you have to consider it? Don't you trust TR?
