    Buxton did show a big improvement in his walk rate over the last half of his plate appearances, moving from putrid to above league average. So while his ability to avoid the K didn't improve much, his discipline as a whole appears that it did, and that's a good start.

    Speaking of data, how about his abysmal marks in the majors at shortstop? A small sampling for sure, but it is a data point, and it is a serious reg flag.

    Given the differences between ball-in-play types and frequencies of pitching staffs, range factor is every bit as lousy (if not more) in small samples.

    While the prospect of Clayton Kershaw on the Twins makes me tingly in all manner of ways indescribable due to the forum's terms of service, no, I don't think we could get Kershaw for anything remotely reasonable.

    Roughly 20th among the top 30 in plate appearances. Still not an F, unless you're going to start adding additional letter grades for those that were clearly worse (and in some cases, far worse).

    Joe ranked roughly 20th among major league first baseman (per war), I'd have put him the C-/D+ area. An F? No. Plenty with worse production than he provided.
