  1. Yup, very obvious.
  2. Uh no, the source said it directly. And has confirmed it multiple times now.
  3. Lol another awesome choke, Thibs is trash.
  4. By far the best thing the Twins did in 2016 to help the future is finally cleaning out the front office. Right behind that is probably Dozier and Kepler
  5. It came together quickly, source org heard two top prospects (DeLeon and one more) then shortly thereafter ruled out Bellinger and said Alvarez was it.
  6. My source may not be a Twins source btw... or it could be a Twins source that didn't talk to doogie. The delay currently is due to the holidays, both front offices are more or less either "off" or working at like 50% until Tuesday. No rush to get it done now.
  7. and hours later I said bellinger was off the table and that it was alavarez (and has remained Alvarez for sometime now) Bellinger was ruled out very quickly. Hopefully this damn deal just gets done next week!
  8. Yeah bellinger has never been on the table, I said this from day one. They don't want to trade away a guy who can be an impact player for them in 2017z Alvarez they have included in the offer(s) he isn't a guy that would help them in 17/18 so they have been much more open to trading him.
  9. DeLeon and Alvarez are on the table. You can disagree or not believe me if you want, but that's what has been offered and continues to be offered. The third piece is where the huge gape remains
  10. Also Doogie is a great media person and has gotten some very nice scoops in the past. He's one of the better ones in TC market IMO
  11. Except for the fact that even espn is saying there is nothing cooking. Also the teams just don't line up that well. I don't doubt he was told this by his Twins sources, but as my source (who has been right every step of the way other than original timing) has said: Dodgers are and remain the only real "contender" I'm sure the Cards called up to see what it would take at some point, just both sides new there was little chance.
  12. Even espn just ran an item on the bottom line backing up my report (for weeks) that a team like the Cards were never in the running. Doogie, what happened?
  13. if they sign him I'd rather they just keep Dozier to start the year. Bautista, Sano, Dozier? That is a lineup with some serious serious power.
  14. He doesn't. I confirmed it with my source, as I have been saying for weeks now (via my source) the Dodgers have been and remain the only serious player. The rest is just spin.
  15. Yup This confirms what I said a few times and my source implied as well. This was all "leaked" and "pushed" by the Twins to try to get a little leverage with the Dodgers. Not a terrible plan though.
  16. Fair enough, I thought he was worse defensively for some reason.
  17. Terrible was a bit rough, my bad. But he doesn't have the upside IMO and has no reason being on a rebuilding club.
  18. Wong is terrible. The more and more I think on this the more I think that this is 100% the Twins spinning things (not a bad thing) I just don't see the Cards parting with an elite enough package to top DeLeon and Alvarez personally. Cards Nats Mets Giants would all love to have dozier of course, none will give up the pieces though most likely.
  19. Keep in mind the "Cards being in on it" reports are coming from the Twins directly, this helps drive up the price potentially. Dodgers still remain the best fit and match IMO by far. Always good to have options though for sure, hopefully this is enough to force the Dodgers to give up a solid third piece along with De Leon and Alvarez who were agreed to.
  20. I'd take Nationals and Giants interest with a pound of salt. Cards could help drive up the cost. Which is nice, this could get the Dodgers to give up the third piece the Twins want!
  21. Dozier is one of the best 3 2nd baseman around. He was the best last year. He isn't worse then Pedroia, LeMathiu etc etc That's absurd.
  22. Both of the major players in both front offices are home for the holidays more or less.Look for it to pick back up Jan 2nd
  23. To confirm: My source continues to say DeLeon and Alvarez are agreed to, it's still down to the 3rd/potential 4th pieces. Dodgers continue to want to trade "meh"/AAAA/PTNBL types, the Twins want legit prospects with potential. If Dodgers offered up a Stewart or Lux as the third piece the deal would already be done. Twins digging in their heels quite a bit, still plenty of time for this trade to happen. Holidays are here now, so source thinks it would be very surprisingly (but not impossible) for the trade to happen before Jan 2nd or so. No immediate rush during this holiday time, the HOT STOVE, cools down a bit for Santa and Hanukkah. They will ultimately find a compromise on the third piece.
