    Could have had Meyer if we didn't give him away for no reason. Duffey could take his starts. Mejia should take his starts. Any number of pitchers we could have traded Dozier for could have taken his starts. Gibson just needs to go. He's worse than Blackburn or Pelfrey at this point, much worse.

    Hughes > Gibson It's not really even close. Hughes isn't perfect, but unlike Gibson he doesn't melt down every time something goes wrong. Say what you want, but giving up 2 runs in 6 innings is solid and Hughes for the most part has kept us in games. Solid #4/5 guy imo.

    Hehe Also I spotted a wild verified itstimetotakeit post on the wild FB page the other day after game 5, Kab, fro, pig and us had a good laugh. I will PM you the screen shots. Looks like stat has traded in his love of tweeting at porn stars to retweeting bible verses...I mean, good for him, bummer for us. Still no Dankind updates, I dated his distant cousin for a hot minute in college, she mentioned that he was the blackest of black sheep a family could have. Apparently not everyone appreciates the 3 M's in life: Mullets, Mauer Hot Takes and Metallica t shirts. That about does it for this BYTO where are they now update!

    In general bad pitchers (like Gibson) will get mashed the second time through the lineup.

    What do you do this off season? Who do the wild lose in the expansion draft? I don't think they can afford to lose Coyle, Zucker or Nino (Granny obviously will be protected) I would do everything I could to get Poms to waive the NTC for the draft. No way they would pick him anyways. Haula would suck to lose, but would be easier to swallow then the 4 I mentioned earlier. I would prefer it be either scandella or brodin in that order. Dumba is frustrating as ****, but he is a RH shot and has a ton of potential. Scandella would be perfect since it would clear some needed cap room as well.

    Yeah, if they were stealing signals and he knew it, that's on him anyways. It's not hard at all to mix up your signals to throw them off the scent. Also this start looked a lot like the rest of his starts anyways, if this was Kershaw getting rocked and making the excuse it would hold water, but a dude with a 6+ ERA the last two seasons? Nope

    No such thing as clutch, as history has proven. Smells like you are using a SSS to make your (crazy) point. Saying polanco > Dozier last year can't be defended. At all.

    Yup, if Gibson was 25-26 I would get the "patience" but at this stage? He is what he is. Fill in 5th pitcher at his peak now, AAAA type more than likely. No place on a rebuilding club.

    Yeah that's absurd. Dozier is one of the elite MI in baseball. Polanco COULD be someday, but is a ways off for sure. Dozier is awesome, which is why they should trade him Knoblauch style to help the future IMO.

    When it comes to players who are some of the worst in baseball the last couple years: Gibson (SP) Santana (ss/of) Who have no upside left, you shouldn't be worrying about options.

    Yup. Believe me or not, but keep in mind that 90% of the ball games I goto I'm sitting 4 rows behind home plate in the "scouts" section, so clearly I have the sources (and track record on 3 other pieces of breaking news) to know that the other offer was on the table. Either way, even if you don't believe me which is fine, the reality is the Twins are still an awful team and have a terrible pitching staff across the board. New regime has done absolutely, positively, zero to improve it. Berrios still sits in AAA and guys like Gibson is getting starts h doesn't deserve. Perhaps the Twins shouldn't have gone the "cheap" route in hiring a new GM and VP and paid market value for a solid one? What do I know thoigh? (Other than a 8.00 era from a starter is bad!)

    either way, I don't want to ever see him start another game for the Twins.

    He's 30, he's not going to get better. His success before was years ago and pretty limited anyways. Bullpen or bust. No more starts for this guy, doesn't have the mental make up either.

    It would be hard to run a team worse than this team the last 16 months. I know you have to carry the Twins FO water on a lot of these things, but defending a guy who has never been good and has been one of the worst 5 pitchers in baseball the last 14 months? Come on Brock. Bullpen, I guess I could maybe see it. But him as a starter should be over. Forever. Him succeeding as a reliever? I give it a 1 in 6 chance, which is better than a lot of guys they have in the pen. So maybe you are right on that.

    Gibson has like a 6.30 era these last two years now. He's 30 Cut him and don't look back. Giving innings to terrible pitchers who have no upside is dumb when you are rebuilding.
