  1. I have access to the BYTO archives, if I get a moment free today I will dig it up.
  2. You realize it would most likely be for a minor league contract/spring training invite right? There literally is zero risk as he would effectively blocking no one. ****, give me a guy like Harden as a low cost/high reward guy over any of our current starting 2013 Rochester rotation (sans Gibson and maybe Hendriks)
  3. That reminds me, the best play he actually had in his MLB playing career was getting his leg broke by Nick Swisher. It allowed us to take a guy who would have posted a -2.5 WAR over the course of a full season and replace him with a guy who would only post a -1.0 WAR over a full season. That "break" was a 1.5 win swing for us! Anyways, where were we at? Oh yeah, Nishioka, screw that guy. I hope he fails for his new team and sent down to whatever minor league system they have in Japan.
  4. Did you see the guys we were throwing out there last year! Haha, you get the point though. Maybe it isn't super pitcher friendly, but no one would mistake it for a true hitter friendly park.
  5. Can't hurt, and its prob the best situation for him. If he proves healthy he basically has a rotation spot won, and in a pitcher friendly ball park etc. I actually really like this off-season if Ryan is able to bring in Marcum (or another similar pitcher via trade)
  6. Def need to sign Marcum now, should be able to get him on a solid contract for us as well.
  7. Hultzen will not be traded for anything less then a really good young player with a lot of team control. It would cost much more then Willingham or Arcia. Though he doesn't have the extreme ace type upside, Hultzen if he doesn't progress any more is basically a solid #2/#3 on a team, and if he continues to develop could be even more special.
  8. As long as injuries don't derail his career and he can stick at catcher at least half time over the next couple years he should be a first ballot guy. He is already one of the best 3 or 4 catchers of all time.
  9. I'm glad we finally have a thread on this message board to discuss this topic!!!!!!!!111111111!!!!
  10. AP is a FREAK of nature, there is no reason not to think he won't put up another 3-4 years of elite running with another 2-3 (decent to running) afterwords. The guys I am worried about aging soon is the D Line.
  11. Most years I would agree that the Vikes couldn't make any noise but this year? The NFC is wide open. Atlanta is a solid team but not unbeatable. We already beat the 49ers at San Fran, and I'm not exactly sold on Kaepernick being that huge of an upgrade over Smith. Seattle is dangerous as ****....at home. On the road anything can happen, but honestly, I see Seattle as the best overall current team in the NFC as crazy as that sounds. Green Bay: Well to make the playoffs we will have to beat them, and we actually completely outplayed them in Green Bay. If Ponder doesn't **** all over himself we can beat them in Minn or GB. Washington: Scary team no doubt, but we should have been up 21-0 in the first QTR instead of 9-0. Plus good chance the only time we'd have to play them would be in NFC championship game anyways. Giants/Cowboys/Bears: Extremely Beatable If we snag a wild card we either would have to play @Was/NYG/Dal or @SF/SEA or @GB Other then @SEA I honestly think we would have a solid shot. And in the 2nd round it should be noted that Matt Ryan has yet to win a playoff game. The NFL playoffs this year regardless of who gets in should be pretty damn entertaining, all the teams have their "issues" including Pats, Texans and Broncos from the AFC.
  12. R.I.P Sports Journalism. It was a good run.
  13. Yeah, that is probably true. Maybe they just already "know" what they have in Tebow and want to give Mcelroy a couple games to "see what he's got" before they go all out and over pay for some QB heading into next year. I'm sorta excited as now Mcelroy makes 3 current NFL starting players who I went to high school with. (Scott Chandler and Garrett Hartley being the other two)
  14. Pretty sure this is the only time I have and will "heart" a comment on this website in 2012.
  15. Honestly, I don't think Ryan ever wanted him to begin with, it literally put him and his starting QB in a terrible situation throughout the entire year, maybe this is his last "**** you" to the brass.
  16. In regards to Webb I have to think the coaches have seen and know that he has no real future as an NFL starting QB? Sort of like the same reason why the jets named Mclroy the starter next week instead of Tebow. I like Webb a lot, but even I question his legitimacy as a starting QB in this league. Clearly we should have drafted Russel Wilson or Kirk Cousins this year as a backup....sigh
  17. We have already been over the fact that they aren't trading us Profar and Andrus. If that is the case Olt is the best guy we could get. Also, I don't think you understand just how terrible Sano has been at 3rd base so far, he will have to improve drastically to even be considered (below average) at the position. I hope he sticks, I'm just not counting on it, nor should the Twins. Besides Sano still won't be helping the major league club in 2013 and 2014. Who is the other 3B prospect? Plouffe? I still think we could give Plouffe a shot at 2B or even the corner OF if he continues to hit. Either way our depth at 3B is very, very thin and Olt is the best prospect we could conceivably get from the Rangers. Also Sanos sample size at 3B is not small....and for someone so dead set agianst us trading for Olt I haven't heard you mention one "pitcher" from the Rangers we should realistically go after.
  18. So you want to wait until Mike Olt becomes a bonafide star in the majors before we trade for him? Got it.
  19. Yeah, I'm not sure how they aren't "sniffing the playoffs" as well. They have a really tough game this weekend no doubt, but with the way Adrian and the defense are playing? I wouldn't rule anything out. Vick...would be interesting. I question his durability though, and he is getting older. I'd prefer they get a guy like Kirk Cousins, Alex Smith or Matt Flynn personally. Then take a QB in round 2 or 3 (they would prob have to give up a 3rd rounder for Smith or Cousins). Landry Jones would be a QB I would take a look at if he falls.
  20. Remember that one player who was shaky at defense then become good? Yeah, I mean if a couple bad defensive players can become good, why can't we assume everyone else will?
  21. No. No they would not......
  22. Morneau seems like an obvious fit due to the 1 year contract and the whole Canadian thing, doubt it would be enough to land much though.
