  1. Mark Cuban would be terrible for baseball.
  2. Percy is an injury prone WR who isn't a true #1 who also has clashed with both coaches he has had in the league. Nobody is going to give up a mid first round for him.
  3. I care about the team, I just have a basic understanding of how businesses work. The "Durr durr the Pohlad's are cheap" drivel gets really old, when in fact they have shown an ability to spend over 100 million a year when they feel it's warranted, I believe a couple years ago they were one of the top 8 or 10 payrolls in all of baseball. Good lord, people act like we are in the middle of the 1993-2000 days again, give me a break.
  4. Uh because it would be taking up 7 million of payroll next year? Payroll that could be used to land an ACE like Josh Johnson?
  5. Actually he is doing quite well these days. On FX main football crew

  8. Is Nishioka eligible?
  9. Hey Pseudo, any thoughts on the deal? I am getting other offers for Pineda.
  10. Oh yay, another thread where we bitch and moan about Correia! Listen, we all know its a stupid deal, we don't need to hear about in 60 times a week. Nobody is debating that it was a bad move. Move on folks. I am encouraged that they won't CONTINUE to over pay for average/crappy pitching. 1 2/10 mil bad deals is easier to live with then 2 or 3 of them.
  11. Actually, he is getting paid more this year in Japan then he would have this year in America. He is a coward, period. And is the worst player in the history of this franchise, and it wouldn't shock me if he was the worst in the history of baseball. I hope his wife left him for the bat boy.
  12. While we are at it, let's bust Lawrence Phillips out of jail and pair him with Tommie Fraiser!
  13. Merry Christmas to all!(except that sack of crap Nishioka)
  14. Peterson has also the same exact YPA as OJ had. Jim Brown is tough to compare to, since he played his last game almost 50 years ago, no? The game was a TON different back then and Brown had a relatively short career. But he is certainly in the top few of all time. Right now I think my personal rankings go (assuming Peterson continues at this pace for 3 more years then has another 3 or so years of very good play): Sanders, OJ, Peterson, Brown, and Smith (its absurd how much talent he was surrounded by) If Peterson continues to improve, no reason he can't be the GOAT
  15. I think you also have to discount the era's of which some of these players played. Brown/OJ and even to a lesser extent Smith all played in an era when the league was quite a bit less "pass happy" and the speed/strength was no where where it is now. There is a reason why RB's career expectancy's are constantly going down. I'm not discounting what guys like OJ and Brown did, but if Peterson keeps this up for another 4-5 years (no reason why he can't) he has to be in the conversation of best ever.
  16. If we would have given Liriano 2/14 people would have been (rightfully) freaking out around here.
  17. I'm guessing it comes down to him or Carroll personally.
  18. 9 for 9, and that one yesterday looked like it would have been good from 68+. Also his kickoffs are great for this team as well, just heard a stat that we haven't given up a kick return past the 25 yard line in the last 10 games.
  19. So your saying they should take a risk?
  20. Tomilson wasn't very good at all btw. He had maybe 4 good years.....But don't let get in the way of your retarded drunken rant(s)
  21. What? Its fine to dislike him for his antics, but to dislike him for the Nishioka play is absurd. The Nishioka play was a common and clean play, it's not his fault we literally had one of the worst 10 players of all time playing SS for us that game. Also, that play actually benefited us, it took out an absolutely terrible SS/2B and forced us to replace him with a less terrible SS/2B. And then Nishioka ended up saving us some decent cash anyways! Swisher has a 4.1, 3.8 and 3.9 WAR's the past three years. He is a good player and actually seems like a good clubhouse guy as well. (think Remond but with talent!) Also when is the Baker signing press conference? I'd like to know the date and time so I can view it live on the web!
  22. I'm all ears!
  23. Yeah, dominated one of the "best" teams in the NFL. We have now won @SF and @ Houston. This team has some real legit talent. Christ, I wish Harvin was healthy or we had another good WR. I have a feeling if we make the playoffs its going to be as far as Peterson and the defense takes us. Jared Allen, Greenway and Smiths should all be pro bowlers this year, in addition, he won't win it, but Smith should prob be the DROY, and Kalil should be in the top 2 or 3 for offensive rookie of the year behind RGIII and Wilson (Luck is solid, but statistically had a pretty mediocre year)
